Everything about that sounds great. Except for the Metro.

Saw Timmy outside the team's hotel on my lunch break today.

Hope you have a good time.

My boss is in DC for a meeting and going to this match. I did enjoy Kansas City vs Orlando last night though :)

Eh, Marcelo is a hothead. Neymar has been surprisingly mature as of late.

Well let me say Neymar is sick and Marcelo is filthy. LandyCakes is still in Marcelo's back pocket. Brasil with a 4-1win that flatters the USA.

Well we learned that the USA is squarely between Brasil and Scotland :)

    Really?
Their keeper pulled off a few fantastic saves there in the second half. And we hit the crossbar.

    I thought 3-1 was fair.

I think you're both right. It was a game that could've been 3-3 or 7-1.

US was very dangerous in attack, especially later on and made Brazil's set piece defending look incredibly dodgy, but its own defense was quite porous (and it might be time to say adios to Gooch, at least until the European season is underway).

    Hercules Gomez looked pretty lively.

Was a fun time. Don't really expect much out of it other than to see Brazil score a bunch.

In a real competitive match, a lot of the players for Brazil might be on the bench some.

I really like Neymar. Disappears for a bit, and then bam, makes a difference. I also enjoy players with a bit of swagger.

I will amend my remarks to agree with Phat. Certainly the PK was harsh and with a tad more luck we score one or two more as we totally bossed on corners in the second half. But If Timmeh wasn't on they might have had many more as well.

I thought our best player was Bradley but he did fail to track Marcelo's run for the third goal. Johnson did well and Brazil avoided his side until he left.

Gomez put in a decent shift and he showed the benefit of some Mexican League training with "embellishment" on some 50/50 fouls.

Our two center halves looked ancient and slow.

If LandyCakes is going to be a right sided midfielder then he has to defend as well as attack. Marcelo powned him all night so his attacking was stifled and he disappeared on defense. Marcelo had free reign to get forward and poor Cherundolo was left on an island trying to deal with Marcelo and Neymar while LandyCakes and Gooch watched.

I will say this: under Bradley, the US probably could've lost by the same scoreline whilst trying to defender/bunker. Yesterday the US lost whilst trying to hold its own and looking for the opposition goal. Brazil was clinical and sharp in front of goal, the US wasn't.

Personally, I am a bit more hopeful about Klinsmann's team which offers far more attacking verve and this is considering Dempsey and LD have barely played together under Klinsi. Lastly, I know there aren't exactly a myriad of options for the CB spot but both Bocanegra and Gooch are way too slow, specially together: Klinsmann needs to find a quicker CB to partner Bocanegra.

I'm more excited for what it means for players going forward. It means that down the road we might try and produce some players who can attack. That's the biggest hope.

A good warm up game for the US for their WC qualifier against the 'formidable' Antigua.

Yep, as was the rest of the defense in their own zone.
