So how soon does Guardado report to Valencia? Any chance he'll be with the team for their May 31st match against the Houston Dynamo? Dynamo to host Liga BBVA’s Valencia C.F. at BBVA Compass Stadium on May 31
The Spanish league is a two team league, but it's good to see one of our guys play for a top 4 team for a change. Nothing but crappy mid table, and relegation futbol lately for Mexican fans.
twhat? I count 5.....then i count 4. One of the biggest myths ever...all leagues have similar trends.
Lately clubs in La Liga can only pray that they don't get slaughtered by RM/Barca where as it's not that far fetch for mid table teams to challenge the top EPL teams.
As of today, 18 of the 20 teams from the Spanish league are eliminated from championship contention for the 2012-13 season. At least in the EPL the talent is more equally divided among the top teams, and not every other team is financially unstable, or on the verge of bankruptcy.
18 is taken by Victor Ruiz, unless he's traded or the two players work something out, Guardis will be sporting new digits.
With Jordi Alba as good as gone, Guardado will have competition from Pablo Piatti, Pablo Hernandez (though mostly plays on the right), and Jonas (whom plays more as a striker). Unless Valencia sign somebody else, it looks like he can comfortably get the starting spot from day one as a left winger. Edit: they signed a youngster by the name of Jonathan Viera who can play as a left winger, although he is more of an AMC. Unless he shows a lot of promise, I don't think he's more than a squad/fringe player since he comes from Adelante team Las Palmas.
