The difficulty has to increase in the final minutes of each half and I sometimes feel that the computer is destined to score. For instance earlier today I was wining 3-1 with 2 minutes plus stoppage. The computer got the ball and ripped a shot from 30+ and scored. It was 3-2 and it was the 90th minute. I decided just to pass the ball around in the back off the kickoff with only 2 minutes of stoppage time left. I did this for long enough that I definitely thought right when I got the ball forward the ref would blow the whistle. Well I bring the ball forward and still no whistle and then I go to make a simple pass and somehow my player passes it like 5-6 yards in front of my player and it wasn't a thru ball. The computer beats my fullback crosses the ball to a short midfielder who scores probably like 20+ minutes after the whistle should have blown. My CBs didn't even jump for the ball. Then off the kick off I dribble forward get all the way to the last defender. My winger is making a great run and would have a break away and all I had to do was pass it. I pass it and the whistle blows. The winger received the ball on the 18 with no one near him! That pissed me off.

Also did anyone else notice that in the Euros 2012 game, some of the squads are just completely made up? Like the players do not exist in real life....

Sounds like I've been there a million times. Stoppage time can go literally 3-4 minutes with five minute halves.

I have not noticed that. In euro 2008 that was the case due to licencing. Have not noticed the same problem in 2012

First I noticed that they paid practically no attention to the Czech national team who are in the Euros 2012. It's like they copy pasted Czech's world cup qualifying squad and just put them on for this game. Was really surprised not to see Jan Koller with how similar the squads were. None of the Czech young up and comers are in the squad even though a lot of them were starting for the Euros qualifying. Some of the players on there just made me say this is obviously a joke and clearly they didn't even try to make the game realistic for Czech fans.

Slovakia was one of the teams that was just completely made up. I didn't know one of those players. Hamsik, Skrtel, and Weiss are just 3 players that are always in their games and yet there were no where to be found. The other players I had never heard of and I know the slovakian national team.

    Hmm.
That sounds horrible. I don't really follow those teams of late so I was oblivious.

The Czech problem should be resolved once they update the rosters with official rosters.

Slovakia may just be a bunch of made up players for the rest of the year.

They regularly do this in the NHL game.

I wish they'd just ban Barcelona from being chosen online.

I assume you use a 5 star team because that's the only way you can play against Barca online. If you are being one of the best teams then other players are entitled to choose Barca. If you don't want to play against Barca or Real Madrid all the time choose a 4 star team. I always play with Villa.

There are very rare times I play against Barca and Manchester City online when I play with 4 and 3 star teams. That is cause EA servers try to match you up via star level and your personal skill level of play (So the players usually are bad).

But for the most part you are right. It is very rare to play against Barca if you pick a lower star level of team.

Use a four star team. I used to use Barca but got sick of being wiped on the floor by people mostly using Madrid. Now i use Fiorentina, and i've gone from being eternally stuck in div 5 to div 3.

I've always been a PES fan (well, besides the very early FIFA titles), but they improved the FIFA franchise so much that I completely switched to FS12. I don't play online though, firstly because I suck in comparison to most online players, secondly because of people disconnecting. Playing with my mates locally is most fun for me anyway.

It's fun but not worth $25. It was fun for a day or two but I don't really play it that often anymore partially due to the fact that Czech's squad is pretty messed.

what I believe would be a good inclusion in the basic Fifa experience is having to deal with FIFA competition call ups and reprocusions from not allowing players to go to internationals due to injury or whatever. they already have the licensing for those events. referncing them as a part of the game and as impacts to the game would be a great inclusion. plus "developing" players capable of representing their national teams would be a good award in the game

Any body else get extremely pissed off on how easily the cpu can chip your goalie? I barely call my keeper out and the striker always manages to perfectly chip my keeper. What is really amazing is how difficult of a skill it is to actually do a chip if you're not a cpu.

OMG, I broke my first copy too. The guy at Game Stop told me that I wasn't the first person coming in to buy a second copy.

It's not nearly as bad as it was in FIFA 11.

I've gotten used to it, and I've learned to be more careful in certain end of half/game situations to prevent fluke game winning/leveling goals. With that said, I like the tactical defending as before it almost made "parking the bus" impossible to accomplish. Like it or not, it's part of the real game and anything that makes this feel more real is welcome in my book.

I don't want to sound like a whiner or a complainer, but has anyone else been annoyed by a lot of stupid bugs in this game?

I don't play online, but instead I mostly play manager mode and occasionally my roommates.

Unless I am mistaken, they tried to include different referee "personalities" in the game, no? Well, regardless, my game is RIDICULOUSLY lenient with fouls. I guess I shouldn't complain, because while I do get leveled off the ball sometimes, I seem to commit the fouls more often than the computer. I am pretty bad at defending, and there have been times I basically grabbed and threw an opponent down and didn't even get a whistle. Just a bit ridiculous sometimes.

Also, I know how the mechanics of passing work, but I find my players making stupid, stupid passes sometimes, in directions completely different than where I was intending and many times this leads to bad goals.

There's a lot of manager mode annoyances too. Players asking for transfers who are being paid insanely high wages and always being used, the dumb news stories, unrealistic firings and goals (I was fired from Arsenal once because I didn't win a treble) and sometimes the simulating seems crazy. I also have a pretty decent youth squad. Lots of potential 80's and a few potential mid 80's-low 90's. However, they aren't quite good enough to play for me yet, and when I sign them, nobody wants them on loan, or even to buy? And the ones I don't sign terminate their contract...

All this being said, I play it a lot and I enjoy it. I just wanted to see if it was only me who was plagued by these problems.

what is better? manual controls or assisted? I want to be good like KSI or Danielsaurus or Jackattack or even Nepenthez.

They are great skillers and do amazing finesse shots

Can I do the same with Assisted or do I need manual control settings?

Yeah the fouling is extremely inconsistent. I was playing today and Andy Carroll went for a header but took out my defender with his skull knocking my CB back and the ball literally fell right to Gerard who was trailing and scored the tying goal. I turned off my xbox in rage. This has happened plenty of times to me.

As for the manager mode, that also has tons of errors. I play with Villa and one of my best young talents in Ciaran Clark. Been at Villa for 12 years now (including youth) and he was starting all my games at CB. His rating was rising then all of a sudden stories started popping that he was unsettled. I first said wtf he has been hear for the majority of his life but he said it was rubbish. Then come transfer window he tells me he was never able to settle and wanted a transfer! I was so mad but AC Milan soothed my anger with a $22million bid. I accepted then a few days passed and nothing. Then the last day of the transfer window I got a message from the board saying Clark was sold to everton for $8million. WTF! I was left with no money to buy a decent replacement and just quit that whole manager mode.

Okay, I'm glad I'm not the only one who has rage quit the game a few times, haha.

I have no problem losing even the most crucial of games against the computer if I feel like I just made stupid defensive errors or let a man go free in the box. But there are times when I turn off and restart a match just out of unfairness.

Sometimes I find the CPU controlled players to be horrendously stupid. Just today I was running downfield with Robin van Perise, a 2 on 1 situation with Ezequiel Lavezzi just yards away, when the one defender got his foot in there. It went towards Lavezzi, but RvP never fell and was still close so my cursor stayed with him as I figured it'd automatically switch to Lavezzi. But no, the ball rolled through him..chance lost.

I also have tried to sell Kieran Gibbs for awhile as he is not good enough to really fit into my team, and despite receiving many satisfactory bids, every time I select "yes" and leave the menu as normal, he never is sold.

One thing I forgot to bring up is I have seen a glitch with the goalkeepers sometimes where they have extraordinarily slow reactions. I still have Szczesny, who is now an 86, and one of the top keepers in the world. And yet, I was playing against Wolverhampton, who now has Demba Ba (who is extremely good in this game) and he headed a cross FROM OUTSIDE THE BOX. It bounced once, not moving very quickly at all, and then Szczesny jumped AS THE BALL WAS ALREADY PASSING HIM, goal. a 20+ yard header.

I bought it, it's not worth the money.
It's very buggy and just the same thing as Fifa 12, nothing new really. Same sound track, same mechanics, every thing is the same.

The same speed feels like a mixture of online and ultimate team.

If you like playing offline then you might maybe get a few hours out of the game, otherwise there isn't anything special about this game, it's the same as an exhibition match just with updated kits.

played my first online game for euros 2012. I was winning 2-0 at half and then he realized he couldn't win so he started using all his game pauses and kept scoring ogs with his keeper to make the game go as long as possible. He messaged me telling me to quit or he'd do that all game. Well I didn't quit and I left my room to go grab a snack. Came back and it was 13-0 with 11 ogs from his keeper and only the 60th minute. Why do people do this crap? As I write this he is still doing this crap. Oh and he just quit in the 90th minute and I was awarded a 3-0 win instead of the 24-0 win I should have gotten.
