But this FC Nove Zhyttja is from Andrijivka, Mashivs'kyj Raion, Poltava Oblast... From the YFF Web site Nove Zhyttja team squad As you can see Melashchenko's team mate is ex-Dynamo and YKPAIHA International Oleksandr Radchenko.
This kind of stuff gives me the impression that maybe there could of been some hippies amongst the Komsomoltsi in the ol' CCCP... Hard to believe, that folks were thinking of a "New Life".
The hippie movement certainly reached USSR. How else can one explain this synchronous desire by thousands of young people to leave their lives and go thousands of miles East to build BAM or grow something in Kazakhstan?
FC Poltava will face FC Sumy in the Druha Liha playoff next weekend in Uman for the right for a playoff against the 16th team in Persha Liha.
I'd like Sumy to advance, if for no other reason than to be able to utilize that nice stadium they have in Persha Lyha.
FC Sumy were victorious in the Druha Liha playoff game on the week end and now face Enerhetyk Burshtyn (16th placed in Persha Liha) in a one off relegation playoff game on Wednesday.
6 new clubs have had their licences approved for the upcoming season and will be entering the PFL... Sevastopol-2 (Sevastopol's reserve team) since the main club was relegated from the Premier League. FC Odesa (renamed Dnister Ovidiopol and moved to Odesa) It was quite evident that the stadium problems with the Victor Dukov would not be resolved and the city would not help out. Dnister played at the Spartak Stadium in Odesa last season and were quite comfortable there. Makiyivvuhillya Makiyivka (Donets'ka oblast) currently in 4th place in Group 4 of the Amateur competition. More coal money. Ukrahrokom Holovkivka (Kirovohrads'ka oblast) currently in 4th place in Group 2 of the Amateur competition. Some more free advertisement for the agricultural industry. Maybe this club should stick to pigeon racing! Real-Pharm Yuzhny (Odes'ka oblast) currently in 2nd place in Group 3 of the Amateur competition. At first I thought the "Real-Farm" was a play on being a farm club for the real "Real", but then someone from Odesa informed me that the owner has a network of pharmacies in Odesa and wants to do something more with his money than narcotics. I was also told that Yuzhny is a village with 7 streets and cow paddock for a football pitch. Maybe this is where the owner lives and wants to invest his money! Good luck! Slavutych Cherkasy currently 5th in Group 3 of the Amateur competition. Cherkasy is a big enough team that they have representation in the PFL. I don't expect these clubs to be around 4-5 years from now.
I think they can become a good team, since 1mill city like Odessa I think can take 2 teams. Plus since Chornomorets is moving to the new stadium they will have the Spartak Stadium for themselves.
I hope Zaporizhya return to the UPL next season. As for the 2nd spot, I hope the battle will be between FC Lviv and Mykolaiv. I want Lviv to get a second team again because I'm from Lviv, but Mykolaiv I think would be a great city for a UPL team as well.
Its about this time of the year when we get our first candidates for teams which are going to fold... And once again we are very closer to having our winner! In this case its Nyva Vinnytsia in the First League. This weekend Stal Alchevs'k and their fans arrived to the game. All the militisia and safety crew were on hand at the stadium and 5 minutes from the start of the game the team press attache annouces at the stadium that the game will not take place because of Nyva's financial situation. Currently the team is in 17th place and in the relegation zone... It does not look promising for this side to survive.
FC Sumy have gained promotion as Druha Liha Hrupa A Champions to the Persha Liha... Two Galician teams have been relegated to Druha Liha - but it remains whether they will stay in the PFL or fold. FC Lviv - former members of the Premier League and Enerhetyk Burshtyn who seem to be in some economic mire as sponsporship for the minnows has disappeared.
Battle fckin Royale for who is gonna make it to the Premier League is gonna take place on Friday. Sevastopol play Metalurh Zaporizhya. Both teams occupy the 2nd and 3rd spot. MZ have one more point so Sevastopol have to win this game to make it to the UPL. This is however the 2nd last game of the season for both teams. MZ play Helios at home in the last game and Sevas play Bukovyna away in the last game. Hopefully Bukovyna put up the same type of fight they did in the game against MZ earlier this year.
Lol Metalurh got robbed today. Kuzentsov scored with his hand and a bunch of idiotic calls that will get Sevas the victory. Another corrupted referee getting Sevas to the UPL. Disgrace...
I wanted them to win cause their fans come correct but didn't want it this way. Was it obviously fixed or are the 2nd Division refs just retarded?
Wow what a gripping interview. So cool he called out Collina lol. Didn't even know Belik played there
Fedya's minor league report...one of the best reads online. You know you can write a damn good book about the Eastern Europe's minor leagues. You can start with 2nd division Romanian player being traded for 15 kilos of meat. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=360149&cc=5901 Raising the costs of corruption may be a starting point. Corruption in the public sector in China may be punishable by death, now that is quite a cost. The degree of corruption in the public and private sector has been a pandemic for some time now. The situation in Ukraine is painfully far beyond simply updating and enforcing the statutory measures against corruption. Police officers, professors, port officials, city zoning officials all take bribes. Corruption is an everyday way of life. Thats how you get through school, establish a career, start a business, and avoid legal problems.
Metalurh Zaporizhya have a much better fan support, a great youth system and school and a great history compared to a 10 year old Shitastopol who got carried to the UPL by bribing. Btw Sevas is very supported by Akhmetov and co. cause they are essentially another future farm club of Shakhtar like Illichivets and Zorya. This is really a disgrace. I can understand them doing this to a Western Ukrainian team like Karpaty or Volyn cause they hate us, but to do this to Metalurh Zaporizhya is really something. I gotta also hand it to Belik, he said it like it is and there is only truth in his words. Being the veteran on that team he actually has the balls to stand up for the kids that play on MZ and say something. And then I look at Kuznetsovs interview after the game and I finally understand why Karpaty got rid of him. What a scumbag... Btw the referee that was in this game is Viktor Shvetsov. The "best" referee in Ukraine who is gonna go to Euro 2012 I think as one of the back ups. What a disgrace. People should be shot after a game like that let alone allowed to even step on a football field as a ref.
The fiasco in Sevastopol was expected due to the Sevastopol's desire to get back into the big league. Just as a follow up. The President of Enerhetyk Burshtyn has informed that his club has played its last game and will not play in the last two games of the season. This was kind of expected....
Last night 11,300 fans sent off FC Sumy to the championship game against Hrupa B champions FC Poltava.... (Jun 2) The 2nd place playoff game has Desna Chernihiv against newcomers Avanhard Kramatorsk. (May 30) The winner of this game will face the 16th place team from Persha liha (4 teams still in contention). (Jun 3) All games will be played in Podillya Stadion in Xmel'nyts'kyj.
This is why Dnipro gets raped by refs every year. We have the Arsene Wenger disease http://ua-football.com/ukrainian/news/4fc28d89.html
I think Dnipro and most of the Ukrainian League has the SurkisoAkhmetoPrimeSponsorofPresidentofUkrainewhoiscorruptas********andwantstocontrolukrainianfootballosposis disease
