I'd like to see this please:

    ----------------Hart
    Johnson---Cahill----Terry----Cole
    ---------Lampard--Barry
    Ox---------Gerrard-------Young
    -----------Welbeck

Maybe rest the 3 Munich starters. I would swap Parker for Barry if he was fit, but we are so short in midfield. I like the look of that front 4 though, all good on the ball and lots of pace and skill.

I like it, only thing I would change, just because I want to see how it works, is Jones in for Barry...

First glimpse at what Hodgson is planning. Lets hope it aint a basic 4-4-2 .

Liverpool's Martin Kelly will join the England squad for Saturday's game with Norway. Will return to his club after the game.

Martin Kelly gets the nod over Micah Richards???
At this point you have to ask if something personal has happened between Richards and England/Capello/Hodgson/Fa as his exclusion is simply absurd.

It's not a case of Martin Kelly over Richards though no matter how much the press are trying to make the point. Every issue seems to create this hysterical reaction which is utterly ridiculous.

No point taking senior players for solely one game when they possibly might not even play anyway. Allows another player to train with the senior squad who might be a regular part of the squad in the future.

Future? Richards is 1 year old than Kelly and easily the better player.

According the Hodgson, Richards would be the 3rd choice RB at Liverpool even though he's better than both Johnson and Kelly.

It's not the fact that it's one match...it's the way Richards keeps getting overlooked that's disgusting.

Hodgson has already shown he's clueless.....this just reaffirms the belief.

 Kelly has never been capped or called up and has far less experience at this level. Calling up Micah Richards for a one off game when he's never going to be a part of the tournament isn't fair or logical.

Good for Kelly. It will be good for him to train with the senior squad.

Don't see any point in resting the Chelsea players. It will be an entire week between games. Hodgson needs to use these warmup friendlies to work out his Euro team. No point wasting them.

I guess a week isn't too bad.. would be good to see them come off at half time though.

We don't want to be going into the tournament on a string of bad performances like last time, scraping past Mexico and Japan..

He did well when I saw him. I would have picked Caulker ahead of him personally though.

Chelsea players and Rooney apparently not going to Norway. Lescott and Jones at centre back?

All this business with Rooney ,Kelly and the Chelsea Players is why we should have had a prelim squad of about 30 players .

Possibly but when Capello did his preliminary squad you had people like Redknapp moaning that it wasn't fair because they were never going to get picked anyway.

Mirror are reporting that Micah Richards didn't want to be on the standby list for instance.

It's not just the games though it's the training. You can't really expect Lampard and Cole to meet up with Hodgson today and train for Norway, after having such a big game only a few days ago. I would have taken Cahill though considering he has already had a few weeks out before the CL final, and did not actually train for the final

I take everyting you post below face value.. 99% of it is negative towards England, and now this from the same person that said Welbeck was awful and Sturridge should be playing in his place..

Apparently Welbeck is still struggling with his injury and might not make the game Saturday. Down to 2 forwards.....
