Who said CHIVAS had an #APATHETIC owner???

Only ours can now wear that proud moniker till the end of time..!!

    - I would have given NYRB Soares for Agudelo..!

The problem is if Agudelo has a great season, he's likely gone to Europe and NY will get a large slice of the transfer fee. You don't have that immediate concern with Soares. I don't think I'd make that trade.

They may have been Blackballed for a Presidential Visit by the Secret Service.

Not so sure about there being no place for Agudelo at RBNY - they're now only 2 deep at forward, and Henry is going to get hurt a couple more times. They badly needed the defensive help though.

Possible, but from what I read Birchall never heard from LA. the right thing to do would be to call and explain why.

But Agudelo hasn't even started with Henry out. My guess is they'll play Richards up top if needed. They have plenty of wide options at midfield and fullback. Makes more sense to add a top notch starting defender than keep a potentially great player who never sees the pitch.

    Is Rogers ever coming back?

Nope. Well, not this year anyway. He signed with a Norwegian team after his appeal was rejected.

I can see the rule change now - "The 3 DP limit only applies to international signings. Teams are now allowed to have unlimited domestic DPs."

Edit: Also, would the Revs even want to take on a 37-year-old DP? According to most BigSoccer posters 31-32 is washed up. Is the Italian soccer/Serie A fanbase in Boston that big?

You wouldn't expect the MLS Director of Player Personnel to know that though, would you?

Personally, I don't really care either way. But yes, the Italian base would be interesting to bring in.

Yeah, asking too much there. Unless, and I suppose it's possible, he'd not be a DP?

Del Piero would be awesome as our first real DP. 37 would be completely washed up for most players but he is a special talent and not like most other players. Since his game has always relied on skill and technique rather than athleticism, he's still quality . And that's excluding the rise in attendance we would get if we somehow got him to agree to come here.

Really? At this point? No way. Del Piero will come here and get injured the first poorly timed MLS challenge he receives. He has Dabo or Domi written all over him in terms of what he'd contribute to the Revs. Nice player - 10 years ago. Let's continue the focus on younger players that will fit in to Heaps' system rather than ancient players who don't.

9 games this weekend, 5 ended in ties, 3 home teams won and only NY won on the road. NY's fifth straight win.

4 MLS games tonight, a busy weeknight for the league, and one Canada Championship game.

Three games feature Eastern Conference teams, two of whom are right in the middle of the EC pack with us, as Chicago hosts Dallas and Columbus goes out to Seattle. RBNY will try and increase their EC lead, and go for their sixth straight win, tonight at home against Chivas. And LA will try and remember what it's like to win as they face San Ho.
