    Can't make this up.

This fall NBC will debut several new shows, one of them called "Chicago Fire" and another called "Revolution."

I'm pretty sure neither have anything to do with MLS, but I won't be surprised if there are some tie-ins between the shows' publicity and promotions and MLS.

REVOLUTION (Comedy) (Tues., 8:30PM) : The frustrations of the employees of a small, forgotten division of a successful major corporation. Tonight: Jay (Peter Scolari) waits in vain for Mr. Kraft (Gordon Jump) to return his telephone calls; Benny (Ron Pallilo) sprains his ankle using a stapler; Lee (Jack Soo) tries to learn the hustle. Jack Soo, really?

You need as Asian actor and you went Jack Soo? At least I know you're likely older than me! :geek:

To say the least, the premise of that show is scientifically ridiculous.

I was born in 1970-- am I older than you? I just like Barney Miller. Sadly, the list of Asian-American sitcom actors of the 1970s is a pretty short. It was down to Jack Soo vs Pat Morita.

Somebody else has to do a TV Guide capsule for "Chicago Fire." Comedy-drama? Action-adventure? Mystery?

True, but when S.M Stirling wrote the story originally he at least admitted it and waved the nconsistencies away with "alien giant space bats". :D

(As far as I can tell this show is essentially an exact rip off of Stirling's Ember-verse with no credit given to Stirling)

Half of those guys are dead!

But I was also born in 1970, so I got it all, too.

Revolution looked incredibly promising until "15 years later"

Due to the higher ratings of reruns of Patriot Games, Revolution has been moved to to the Wednesday 12 am slot. NBC stated that they still see this as a vital part of their fall lineup and in no way was an indication of a lack of commitment to the show.

With 47 per cent of viewers surveyed calling the writing "really stupid," the head writer will be promoted to executive producer. The emmy-winning director has been fired and replaced with a bit player who once directed a short in film school.

If Chicago Fire doesn't have a Polish actor or two, I'm not watching.

I mean I think the obvious choice there was John "Harold/the Milf Guy" Cho for the asian actor.

Okay, Revolution presses two of my pet peeves.

First off, no one is going to watch this thing, because this type of "big mysterious mystery" show gets cancelled so often. It's self-defeating. No one wants to be left high-and-dry, so few watch, so the ratings are poor, so the show gets cancelled. Which just makes it worse for the next show in this genre. Really, they should just quit trying. There's probably not going to be another "Lost".

Second: Once again, people traveling through the post-apocalyptic landscape on foot. It never seems to occur to these people that bicycles don't need gasoline or electricity, and get you where you're going five times faster.

I've heard they're also re-branding "The Biggest Loser" to "Sporting Kansas City".

Well it also works in the other direction, where some guy who was formerly morbidly obese turns into a weight loss success story.

Otherwise Toronto FC would be a more appropriate name.

In the post-apocalypse, will it be easier for the Revolution to finally get a SSS?
