    .

To be fair, you're not allowed to just kick people in football... for whatever reason.

He would have gotten worse if he was playing even in Mexico. I'm surprised it's only three games.

LOL, goes to show how much of a joke that league is. anywhere else it would have been anywhere between 5-10 games.

What if he just whipped his leg like that to brace for the fall.....

These retrospective bans are stupid because honestly how could you ever prove any players intention regardless of the play..

I sort of disliked Marquez for some time then I read this and the love is back..... long live "El Kaiser Zamorano". He should just go back to Atlas and help them out.

I'm a "Metrostars" supporter and somewhat of a RedBull fan but the fans and media have done nothing but sling shit at him since the moment he arrived in NY.

For all the fuss about Rafa throwing Ream under the bus last year, Henry just did the same last week after the RedBulls beat Columbus 4-1 in Columbus and nobody batted an eyelash. Matter of fact, the same fans and media praised Henry for his "competitive spirit" and "attitude".

Regardless of Rafa's behavior, there is most definitely a certain amount of bias and hatred against him for the simple fact that he is what most US fans love to hate. Some of it is warranted but some of it is also unfounded and laughable at times. I often read people's comments about how Rafa can't "hang" in MLS and is "out of his depth".....LOL, I mean, dude is a defensive midfielder/centerback who thrives with intelligent players around him, not necessarily superbly skilled players but players who know how to move into space and play decently weighted balls in combination play. He gets very little of that with his team. When you have a guy like Dax McCarty partnering you in the center of the field.....your team has problems.

    That's an awesome vid.

I remember WC2010 Marquez absolutely shut down Messi in that matchup. Every time Messi was on the ball, Marquez would either get the ball back, or end the play for them.

I wouldn't mind Marquez stay with the NT for the next 2-3 years. Probably he will be on the bench more than starting though.

The first thing Goal.com posted after that game....a picture of him and the headline was :"Public Enemy#1".

That just goes to show you what their attitude is towards him.....hes always been one of the Nads top guys to hate, and they were complaining the second he signed.
