ya, he's started 8 games and came on as a late/second half sub in 4 games. he started the season with a slight knee injury and had to play his way back into fitness for the first month. i dont know why georg keeps bringing up the 12 games as some sort of ultimatum because saborio clearly has not played 12 full games and he hasnt been at full fitness for the entire season either. even still, if the 2 goals he scored against TFC had stood he would be sitting on 6 goals in "12" games. a 0.5 goals per game average is something any striker in this league would love, that would be him on track for 17 goals this season which would be the most any RSL forward has scored in a season (Cunningham scored 16 goals and won the golden boot in 2006).
He also forced the own goal in the TFC match, set up beckerman's goal with a great dummy in the SJ game, and has an assist.
And if he had gotten his head on the own goal a few weeks back he would be sitting on 7 goals, yada yada yada.
Reminds me of a riddle Abraham Lincoln used to ask: If you call the tail a leg, how many legs does a dog have? Ans: 4. Calling it a leg, doesn't make it one.
