Gerald Wallace is gonna lead this team to the promise land? At least they will have a nice building to play in. It will be interesting to see how this team will be supported.
I think they will be supported well as long as they don't make ticket prices outrageous like Knicks tickets ($217/ticket regular season average ).
Friend of mine got two season tickets in the front of the second deck at mid court for a little over $3,000. Not bad at all.
Joe Johnson has an awful contract. If they do keep D-Will and have Johnson they will be essentially what the Hawks have been lately. 4 or 5 seed who will never get anywhere in the playoffs. If they somehow find a way to pull off the Howard trade then that would be a miracle but then they would have like almost no one to fill out their roster. Improved team for sure but not a championship contender.
I don't trust Howard with the back surgery and all. I'd hold right here. Expecting career years from Lopez and Kardashian with the addition of a seriously solid back court. The one important thing is that the Nets are getting the back page for the first time since Dr. J was playing in the Coliseum and making the Knicks uncomfortable enough to consider making more stupid moves. This franchise is now for real and the borough is on board!
Where were you sitting? You can get like $40 tickets but of course its way high seating. But in no way that is the average. But yeah the Nets will get a lot of love in BK.
Find a better one in the NBA Last I checked, Atlantic and Flatbush doesn't run through Bushwick. But I will be shocked if, considering the neighborhood, they don't have free range organic soy baby formula.
http://seatgeek.com/basketball-nba-ticket-prices/ I think that site is including playoff games, that's why it now says the average price for NYK ticket is $245. But when I checked during the regular season it was still $217/ticket.
What??? That is in no way true. If the average ticket price to a Knicks game was $217 MSG would be empty half the time. You can find higher seat tickets around for less than $80 if you look. Like I said before I found 2 tickets in the upper seats for $40 each. Of course this was during the Isiah Thomas coach era when everyone hated the Knicks but still.
The team is going to be a huge hit in NYC. I expect more rappers aside from Jay Z to be wearing the BK logo soon enough.
If the cheapest seats are $80 then it seems somewhat believable that the average would be around $200, give or take. Remember there are a bunch of seats that are well over $1000 each which drive up the average. But I'm no expert. I gave up a long time ago going to sporting events in New York. So over-priced for something you can see (even better) on TV.
