5/9 - Philadelphia Union v Schalke 04 @ PPL Park (7:30PM EDT) http://www.philadelphiaunion.com/news/2012/04/union-host-fc-schalke-04-may-9-ppl-park
I think this one caught many/most Union faithful by surprise, given the short time frame (just under four weeks) between the announcement and game itself. Almost as quick as the Union-Chivas de Guadalajara game back in 2010. There had been rumors of a Union-Newcastle friendly, but that didn't happen. The Union-Saprissa partnership announcement said an annual friendly is part of that joint venture, which many assumed would be the "free" one for season ticket holders. However, that one, the 18th ticket in the STH package, is for the Union-Aston Villa game in July.

New game in San Diego. Not MLS per se but does involve two Mexican Primera sides that play MLS teams quite often. Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles v Club America at Qualcomm Stadium, June 30th at 7:30pm PDT. http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0A004894E4503DB6?artistid=1038944&majorcatid=10004&minorcatid=11 Tickets there if anyone is interested.
Sparing no expense the San Jose Earthquakes are bringing in either Exeter City or Scunthorpe United but only if they agree to pay their own way here.
My barber has a friend whose sister knows a guy who has the inside scoop that those two teams are provisionally booked but if Rangers and Portsmouth still exist by summer they will be the opponents. Not as funny as your post but I had to try!

I've looked at this schedule several times but just noticed that the Dynamo-Valencia friendly has the wrong date. It is on May 31.

There are enough Euro snobs around to make it work. Add in the novelty of a game in Yankee stadium and they should do ok. But I have no interest in it.
This is going to be EXPENSIVE. Also, ugh. Galaxy have wayyyy too many games this year, and they suck.
