With good reason. I'm sure we all are. Though, if it wasn't for Nick, you wouldn't be so cranky. Then again, if it wasn't for Matt, you'd be even more cranky. The ref definitely increased the crankiness quotient.
Not even remotely. He barely touched him. That was a full on dive. And just because you give up a free kick, doesn't mean it has to go in every damn time like it does against us. Defend your guy. If the organization wasn't trying to save face, Shalrie would be coming off the bench already.
We dominate the 2nd half but can't score. They battled hard but RSL finished their chances. Rimando gets MOTM. I wish they showed Heaps and the ref after the game.
The ref should hang definitely his head. Missed 2 fouls on the first RSL goal, then gives a 2nd red only because he felt bad for giving the first one. I've no doubt in my mind that he wouldn't even have considered red, would never have crossed his mind, if he hadn't already given one.
That red card on the Revs was absolutely one of the worst red cards ever. Even the RSL broadcast folks (as that was the feed used on MLS Live) said it was not even a card worthy call. Ugh... between that and the no hand ball call on RSL's first goal... yeah the refs really helped RSL win this. Well that and Sharlie being Sharlie. He needs to go. He's so freaking uncreative and very predictable in the midfield its not funny. Time to find someone - anyone - who can replace him ASAP.
rsl announcers say revs deserved a point and by the end of the year will be near the top of the eastern conference. looked that way to me, too. exciting game against RSL's best 11. unfortunate call on the red card against cardenas (hard to imagine what the ref thought he saw). good pressure even after it was back to 10 on 10 -- great saves by rimando and great work by reis too. i am excited about the rest of the season.
