Well... we're still counting all the championships Rimando won with DCU as RSL's.

Even *you* can understand the point, no?

The point that the poster you were responding to was being a troll, yeah. The point that there's nothing left of the championship E-Quakes team due to time and relocation? For the most part, but when the head coach is there still its hard to say nothing remains.

And the *franchise* in Houston have how many? ... that's the point, isn't it?... not the 2 trivia question answers you give.

    Well... there's always an exception.

AND - did he remain (implying some form or continuity)? or get rehired where there was no continuity?

    Two.

The San Jose Earthquakes currently also have two MLS Cup trophies, ones that were even held in the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta, New York rather than relocating to Houston and which were rightfully returned to the San Jose Earthquakes near the end of their two-year hiatus.

The San Jose Earthquakes and the Houston Dynamo currently each correctly have two championship stars above their jersey logo crests.

Oops, I thought the question was about MLS Cup trophies.

As for how many 2003 players are left with the Houston Dynamo, I can only think of Brian Ching even though he was injured for the second half of that season and didn't play in the MLS Cup final.

Though some people might also mention Brad Davis, it turns out that he only joined the team in 2005.

Of course, there's also Dominic Kinnear, albeit him being the assistant coach in 2003.

Nonetheless, none of that invalidates my previous post here in the least.

Thanks, Jason. Agreed. The memories are also still there...the fans are also still there...the history is still there (going back to 1974) and the two Cups are there. Spartan Stadium is empty during the summer, Buck Shaw is a temporary home and we too will soon have a stadium to call our permanent home.

There is hardly anyone from the '03 team even in the league anymore. There has even been a huge turnover in Houston players from their two championships.

It's great when we get a BS moderator highjacking threads and trolling.

This one and the Chivas one

Mods, if I dare do it again, just delete it

How about keeping off SJE fans that are taunting/trolling/thread-jacking in our post-game threads?

Or should we just turn it into fan rivalry forums.

With one exception, I don't think they've been that bad. I personally would not choose to post ad nauseum on another team's thread, but I often do duck in and make a respectful pot or two. We've banned plenty of folks for over-the-top or abusive posts, but we usually simply invite annoying people to mosey along. Which with the single exception is what happened.

Sorry to bump this thread...But did anyone see Lenhart at it again in the DC United match? A weak dive on the first Wondo goal, another one on a corner later, and then his last goal sure looks like it was a hand ball to me...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that... this thread is turning to the "Lenhart Hatred" thread, isn't it? (Yes, I still hate him!) :)

Y'all might appreciate this line from Jeff Maurer, who blogs on Goff's website, writing here about the DC-San Jose barnburner this week:

" On the other hand, I’ll try to be fair to San Jose’s players. Although it’s not going to be easy when Steven Lenhart looks like Will Ferrell had a baby with a Portuguese water dog."

    MOS5 and 15 to 32 repped this.
