Its kinda funny though, that the foul that earned him his yellow was on 22 year old Mexican player Rafael Bacca. It looks innocent from behind, but on the second angle, you can see Marquez bumps/pushes him to the ground. Marquez, after shoving the kid, has the audacity to applaud sarcastically and then makes a "dive" motion at the 22 year old. Then he has the most arrogant look on his face immediately afterwards. I wasn't as quick to jump on the Marquez hate-train, but its hard not to at this point. Hell, the NY commentators were criticizing him (even Shep), such as the PBP guy who flat out said, "How is that a dive?!"

I have to wonder if Rafael Bacca looked up to Marquez growing up. He very likely rooted for him. He's clearly not impressed with him right now. While getting up, Bacca shook his head with a look of disgust. Some hero.

Wondo is quickly becoming my favorite non-SKC MLS player. Really like him a lot. Not particularly showy, but simply finds ways to put himself in the right spot and then finishes it with ease. I remember there was that crazy stat earlier in the season in which from 18 previous goals, he had something like 6 on his right foot, 6 on his left, and 6 from his head.

Just saw Becks won GOTW and everyone is all gaga for it. It's a nice strike yes, but nothing spectacular. Sorry for the rant, just getting really tired of him (and right now, work). I need a beer...or five.

HA RSL goes down to 9. Their impressive, possesive, clean cut, johnny-do-gooder style of soccer. Guess it was just so flashy the ref had to pull out he red twice just to shield his eyes.

I just had to laugh when I saw Olave's red. For all the charges he gets away with, it's hilarious he got a red for something like that.

The week after he gets a goal called back by diving, he is shown a red for a player diving on him, I like the karma. I don't see why the ref is catching so much crap for this. Yes on replays it was an obvious dive, but how do you expect the ref to see that from all the way up field (long ball over the top, he had no chance to be close to the play)? If you just watch the video from the first angle it seems like a clear cut foul and red for DOGSO.
That said I do think Lenheart should be suspended for the dive.

What are you talking about? According to everything I read on the internet (and that's always 100% accurate), RSL doesn't play long ball. That's only SKC.

Since this seems to be the go-to thread to talk about other people whining about how physical we are, here is another complaining about physicality....only he is more familiar to us:
    http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...usas-smith-feels-hes-being-targeted-defenders
.....and if the ref doesn't notice, complaining to the media usually helps. Just ask Jason Kreis.

Nice goal by Pappa on that corner. Too bad it wasn't enough.

The broadcaster for Seattle (Ross Fletcher) is an improvement from Arlo. However, Keller needs some work.

I don't like them (but I don't like most announcers). Although I loved them cracking on Michael Kennedy's height.

Toronto tied the 1999 Wizards for the worst start in MLS history last night, 0-7. Difference is KC had two shootout losses in there that would be draws today.

This and Meara playing for Ireland makes for two completely unexpected pieces of news today (at least for me).

Wonder how much its affected his career, if it has significantly.

Checking into a program is admitting that you have a problem and an important step for him. I hope for the best for him and hope he can stick to it, cause its not going to be easy. Glad to see (at least from what I've read) that people have been positive about him checking in instead of treating him like a criminal. Its going to be important for him to know he has a large group behind him.

I can't stand Fredy Montero, but that goal against LA was nice.

I can't believe how much MLS I watch. I'm addicted to this league.

According to Ives, Philly is going to trade Danny Califf to Chivas for a "player to be named". In other words, it isn't finalized yet, but apparently Nowak confirmed the trade is in the works. What a soap opera Philly has become this season. At least we won't have to see Califf this year. Curious to see who they get in return....guess we will probably hear about it in the next 24-48 hours.

From what I've read the trade is finalized they're just waiting on league approval, and since they are Nowak isn't going to say who they're getting yet.

Chivas busy today...now we know we won't have to see Agudelo or Califf on the field this year.

I am really hoping TFC can win their league game against Philly this weekend to get the monkey off their backs. I would hate to have them come in here still winless/pointless after a long break.....both bad omens for us. However, I would rather have Vancouver win the Canadian Championship tonight though, just so they are a better representative of MLS in the CL next year.

Yeah I am a nervous wreck that TFC will still be pointless (pun semi-intended?) when they play us. I imagine every team they play at this point has got to have that feeling. Who wants to be "that guy" that finally drops points to them.

Fun little fact, if Toronto DOES lose to Philly this weekend, then every single other team in the league will have reached double digit points before Toronto gets their first.
