You completely misunderstood my statement. I write that it is a SHAME that politicians try to restrict our civil liberties because of the fear generated by religious lunatics thousands of miles away. I am not excusing the politician's behavior. I wish they would grow a pair and tell the lunatics to stick it where the sun don't shine.
Terry Jones compares himself to Martin Luther King, and debates an Imam and a real Christian Reverend on Fox: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQyBvT66lPM"]YouTube - Full Terry Jones on Let It Rip | April 21, 2011[/ame]
FFS, the Iman is even dumber than Pastor Jones, and that is saying something. Why are you giving Pastor Jones any additional air time? Ignore him and he fades away.
I didn't realise the Imam had control over Fox's airtime There's a reverend there too, btw. Is he also dumber than the pastor?
don't encourage them. from what I understand, they already do that quite a bit more than they like to let on.
LOL, even the KKK distances itself from them: http://www.good.is/post/ku-klux-kla...e-tea-party-or-koran-burning/?utm_source=supr On Koran burning and on the Tea Party
Burn a Koran day bump http://www.gainesville.com/article/...ooks-in-protest-of-imprisoned-clergyman&tc=ar I'm sue that this will all end well ...
Re: Burn a Koran day He is, but so are the people that will come out of the mosques on Friday protesting in the street that all of America (and the west) are doing this en masse.
Re: Burn a Koran day Protesting peacefully is fine imo. Over-reacting to the provocation with violence or disorder is playing into his hands, and I would accept that to be a stupid way to respond.
On a side note, this is one of those threads when you see it at the top of the page, you immediately shake your head and think to yourself "not again."
Re: Burn a Koran day Mass protests, even peaceful ones, over the actions of an individual who is not linked to any goverment\important organisation is a laughable overreaction.
Re: Burn a Koran day Protest is a right of the weak. The powerful look after their interests in other ways. So long as people protest in a legitimate manner, I'm not too concerned about whether the actions they are complaining about are worth spending time and effort over. Personally I know this guy is a scumbag, but I'm not gonna go out of my way to protest his actions. He can do what he wants, but I sure hope he gets his just rewards for trying to rile up people. I've drawn the parallels between this guy and the Phelps people before, and I think it rings true. They are nasty pieces of work who go out of their way to spite others, and I'd guess they get a pleasure out of it. Hopefully people will see that, and won't react how these people want them to react.
