Dude I'm just upset. I'm having 2005 nightmares of losing the Final AT HOME all over again. I do not get any enjoyment form the team unless they win. That's what sports are about: WINNING. Now, I agree fully that this team exceeded my expectations from the mess that they created in the league. And for that, I'm proud. But we blew it today. In NO WAY was Bilbao the better team. NO WAY. WE blew it. wasted chances int he first leg, Perreira sucking it up like he has been all season. You must understand where I'm coming from. I've been waiting for over 10 years for a cup that has meaning. Now after this, our team will be fed to the top tier clubs and we will have to start form scratch all over again. That's what it's like supporting a feeder team. THIS was our chance, and we blew it. It's not acceptable.

SCP, I understand your frustration but you can't let it get to you. Sporting played their hardest, but luck wasn't on their side. Just move on.

FYI: My bruins were eliminated yesterday in Hockey... it is the worse feeling ever. You just gotta deal with it somehow.

Ye abut the Bruins are a successful franchise who beat the Canucks and won last year. Sporting doesn't do that. Now we HAVE to sell anybody who looked remotely decent this year. That's how SCP works: don't in anything in 10 years and debt just piles up. Excuse me while I smoke this monster blunt before my brains explodes. I still have to work tonight too, FML

Why will our team be fed to top tier clubs? No one on our team is particularly good besides Patricio. I think we'll have a pretty hard time trying to unload these players at a reasonable profit.
If all you care about is winning maybe you should got support Real Madrid or something.

    Thanks for the compliment.

But you shouldn't go round here calling us that. People might take it as an insult. It's Sporting Clube de Portugal.;)

I've accepted it already. Sporting from Lisbon or Sporting Lisbon for short is OK.

Damn shame losing the game. A good effort by the Sporting players in a difficult stadium with a caseiro ref to boot.
All the subbing had a weakening of the team once again. Sa Pinto's weak point I think. Jeffren in particular doesn't seem to be the player that meets Sporting's needs. Not sure why Matias was subbed off, injury maybe ?? The best team won no doubt, but it was close. Viv' o Sporting

It was really weird, Matias wasn't setting the game a light, but after he went off (and I guess in part it had to do with the fact it was a defensive move) there just didn't feel that attacking threat on the counter that existed in the first half.

Was a good match to watch, but after the defensive shifts in the second half you just had that feeling in your stomach that it wouldn't last til extra time, and even if it did it probably wouldn't have changed much.

Someone give this man a cookie.

The point was obviously that he still calls it Lisbon and reduces Portugal to just its initial letter.

I can't change that name on my sig. I would if I could, and we've asked for it to be changed, but Lisbon's still there.

Tough loss guys but you have nothing to be ashamed of. No one expected Sa Pinto do do this well.

I think that is due to BS' lack of proper choices, like Benfica Lisbon instead of plain Benfica or even closer to true , Lisbon Benfica

Yep when selecting the club it's a drop down box, rather than the old system from a few years ago that allowed you to manually input text
