lol, so we get a ton of stoppage for a broken arm, a goal and normal stoppage in play which is only worth.....4 minutes.

refs in SJ can suck my....

A point is more than I think RSL deserves but I'll take it. And to think we could of actually won it if Raja Bell didn't suck so bad..errrr I mean Sabo.

well, another shitty reffing decision against us and sabo decided to blow an easy 1v1 but we still pulled out a tie in dallas. we are now 8-0-2 all time in pizza hut park, or whatever they're calling it these days.

I'll gladly take a point, thank you! Now for the scary game on Saturday. I don't care how bad Toronto is, they will win one eventually. Hope it is not on Saturday.

In Sabo's defense.... it was hot, we have NEVER won there, he played hard I think, he had no Olave in the back and tracked back pretty well I think to help cover the middle of the field against a very dangerous team, he didn't have Espy and was playing with a striker in Paolo who has regressed it seems considerably over the past year or so. So there is your person making excuses.

He made some nice runs, got tangled up on one ball after burning Brek Shea in the box which isn't a small feat as Shea is also a very good defender (I believe he was initially a defender before moving to mid).

I don't expect the guy to score a goal a game, and he made no cheap shots, didn't play lazy, and had a good game overall within the confines of the team's tactics.

    ?

i didnt think he was bad at all (i'm assuming you're talking about the guy who was with dunseth). there literally is not a single moment that sticks out in my mind where he annoyed me or said something that pissed me off.

i guess when you get the worst announcers the game before (ya, SJ's announcers are officially the worst, they've passed up NER's announcers) anybody is going to seem better.

Hopefully this lights a fire inside Paulo.
Not really fair, but the new guy just made a goal in like 3 minutes.
How many minutes has Paulo had?
    And how many goals?

Good 2nd half--well done, gents. Here's hoping we can take that into Saturday's game.

That had to Be the quickest goal by any new RSL player in the history of the club. Secon may have been Paulo a couple years ago.

Paulo looked o.k. tonight just needs to trust his ability to take on defenders and get off a quick shot.

I expect Bonfigli to score at least once every 24 minutes he plays.
He's like, the most efficient striker in MLS at the moment.

Good first 15 minutes, terrible next 30 minutes, and a decent but not great 2nd half. I'll take that in Texas, I guess. Felt like we played well enough for a point, not well enough for 3.

I disagree with those who were calling for Johnson to come off all match. He definitely had some terrible passes, but has was also team defending Shea and Castillo with Beltran all night, and I thought that pair did pretty well for the most part. It's not an easy assignment. Gil was pretty much invisible the whole night, so I was glad to see him come off instead of Johnson. What's the knock on Johnson, specifically?

I also don't understand the hatred for Sabo. I thought he did fine tonight. Not great, but not nearly as terrible as everyone on here is making him out to be. Somehow he's our third-highest rated player on the Castrol index...seems like he must be doing something right. I think that some see that he isn't running around like a mad man a la Espindola, Johnson, Paolo, and (tonight) Bonfigli. Sabo's not built to sprint for 90 minutes, and he's smart not to do that, I think. He plays a different game, a game that works very well when our midfield is clicking, but leaves him stranded when it isn't.

My hell! Is the entire RSL Big Soccer group of posters PMSing tonight or what? I've never seen so much whining game commentary.

PS...If you are a female, and really are PMSing, I apologize for that remark. :)

and when he doesn't we'll rip his ass to shreds and ask "what could we get for Bonfigli?"

I'm not going to apologize for Sabo. His miss was bad. Everything up to it was beautiful, but they don't judge the balance beam purely on what you do before the dismount.

Oh, and if you think Sabo should be benched, I'd love to hear your case for who should start in front of him. That Paulo Junior guy is just incredible, let me tell ya...

Amen! All of the Sabo hate is getting old. Is he perfect? No? Does he drive me nuts sometimes when he seems like he's not hustling to win balls? Absolutely. I'm just not sure what some of you want as an alternative to him.
