That's good news, although it still seems increasingly-likely that The Epicenter will open in 2014 rather than in mid-late 2013. :(

Not only an attic, but a 2nd story. All the bedrooms (except Alice's) were on the 2nd floor, and the attic was above that.

LOL. Didn't look like a 2-3 story house....

So what I want to know is when they get these 2 million dollar plans back from whomever designs them, does that mean they can start digging into the ground?

Robbie Rist the kid who played Cousin Oliver and looked like John Denver, slept in the bunk bed.

I hope there won't be another obstacle.

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten that one of the bunk beds became available once Greg moved into the attic a bit earlier and (I think) Peter moved into Greg's old bed with Bobby then taking the bottom bunk.

Incidentally, Robbie Rist later played Doctor Zee in the pilot episode of Galactica 1980 (though he was then replaced with Patrick Stuart), and even later still provided the voice of Michaelangelo in all three Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live-action movies.

    I hope so too. :(

Well, maybe. Plans and specs are then used for generating bids to get expected costs... Maybe that has been worked out since they have already chosen a contractor (Devcon).

If the Quakes do open the stadium next year, (which could still happen but the more time passes, doesn't seem likely) then just like the Houston Dynamo did this year will probably open their first 6-7 games on the road. Unless Buck Shaw cuts them a deal to play 1/2 a year there. I wonder why Robertson Stadium would not let the Dynamo play there or vice versa?

Seems like things are moving a little slower than they expected.. I'm just waiting for them to unveil new drawings. Anyone know how long it's been sine the appeal was denied? February? Probably reaching the three month mark pretty soon.

Speak for yourself. I'm sure I'm not the only veteran who was expecting foot dragging of Earthquake proportions. All of 2013 in BS sounds about right to me. Nobody in EQS LLC is in any hurry. Better to open a new stadium at the beginning of a season anyway.

Just hope they start construction soon. The Quakes stadium has always been an independent project for the most part from anything the A's are doing, and I hope Wolff would build it regardless of whatever is going on over on the baseball front. But part of me has always worried there's a connection there that they don't like talking about, even if only a tenuous one vis-a-vis the common majority ownership (and thus purse strings). And things are not looking so hot lately on the A's San Jose ballpark front if the latest news out of Oakland turns out to be more than hot air.

Nope. I've always thought the teams and more importantly the projects were separate and that the timetables of the two weren't necessarily connected nor was Wolff necessarily using the Quakes stadium as a pathfinder for the A's one.

However I've always recognized that Wolff and Fisher are the majority owners of both, and that it's always been possible that if they pull out of one ownership (the A's) they could be inclined to pull out of the other (the Quakes). The longer the A's ballpark has been delayed (and subsequently the more dire it's looked for the A's) and the longer the Quakes stadium still hasn't started construction, the more I've worried about this. Particularly now that no political and administrative hurdles are holding up the Quakes stadium and yet we've already passed yet another ground breaking date the FO set for themselves. Hopefully I'm just being paranoid, but being a Quakes, A's and Kings fan I'm inclined toward paranoia as it relates to my teams, their owners and their venues.

I myself don't believe anything until I see it but on Feb 22nd, I started believing more and more. I just wish they would begin construction already. Can't understand what they are waiting for....
