Though $2 million today was $429,831.90 back in 1974 (when The Brady Bunch ended its run). Just imagine if they received $2 million in 1974 dollars. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
2 million blueprint on a 60MM stadium doesn't sound that far fetched to me. The amount of architects, engineers that are needed in the creation of said blueprints... taking into account revisions and rewrites, i think it is cheap!.
Never knew architects fees were 3.5% of the total. Then again I guess law firms charge at least 10% for most settlement cases of law suites so it may not be all that much!
If you didn't know, why is it okay to rail on about how overpaid they are... People with any experience in this area seem to think the amount is fair and even a bit low...
Why is it all that important to you to care what I think or post? Is it against the law to express the fact that I think someone is overpaid? I'm expressing my opinion which is what I'm entitled to do and something that I really and truly believe. Seriously , if you don't like what I have to say, you are more than welcome to ignore what I post! I mean seriously we talk about players being over or underpaid so why not architects? I fail to understand your reasoning.
Therefore, if I don't have anything important to say or if someone else doesn't agree with me, then no one should really care or take such offense for what it is I post or have to say. I expressed what I thought in that instant and I still believe 2 million for a set of plans is a lot of money. Why is it such a crime to post that?
I posted a link to a comment I made earlier in this thread explaining the high costs involved in predevelopment work, just based on my experience working in consulting. People are reacting to you rehashing what was talked about here a few weeks ago. No biggie.
We, it is indeed a lot of money. For the scope and level of effort of all that is involved, that's what it takes to get a project of this magnitude going. I don't think you realize the level of complexity involved.
Indeed but I happen to think the prices of homes in the area are also too overpriced and most people would tend to agree with me on that front. I mean I made a killing in real estate but that still doesn't mean I don't think the home prices are adequate because they are far from it. Even though the market tanked, they still cost too much in my opinion.
Seriously, I saw Christopher Knight at Valley Fair a while back. I know he use to work in the Silicon Valley industry, I'm not sure when though.
The architect of this groovy home is no longer available, but I believe his son may have gotten into the business...or dinner theatre...not sure which. It was home to a lovely lady and her 3 lovely girls and a man named Brady with three boys of his own...
No actually I majored in something I could make a good living at which was Real Estate and foreign languages.....
I apologize for this break from the Brady Bunch...but the FO mentioned today that they are still targeting ground breaking for this Summer. Also, new updated drawings of the Epicenter should be released shortly. Fingers crossed...
As well as a certain housekeeper and (at least for the first season or two) a dog named Tiger. Incidentally, from what I remember, the series took place in Southern California, which means that if the surviving members of the Brady clan became MLS fans at all, they're fans of either the Los Angeles Galaxy or Club Deportivo Chivas USA.
