Greetings all, here's the next game. Let's talk about it!

So Leonardo came back to play in a reserve game before the end of April. On schedule or behind? In any case, the team will welcome him back when he can take the field.

Oh no! Watch out for the attacks cuz you're not tsaldana and LA is gonna lose and the posters are gonna blame you!

In all seriousness, I just want a win, with beauty preferably.

I know Beckham will bring his "A" game because the British Coach will be at HDC "Observing" him for the Olympics...oh Leanardo will not play vs Dallas because he needs Rythm going...oh and so who should be our Starting CB's once Leanardo is Completey Back, i kinda like AJ, & Lopes!!

Ha! Maybe I'll just get a longer ignore list.

Beauty, I like beauty! I'll take another 2 or 3 goals on offense, and as for defense we are DUE for a shutout.

I have a feeling the new shirt will look better on the men than in that photo. To contrast, I loved the LA Galaxy new kit in photos, but now that I'm watching the team I'm not that fond of it. The sash is just too obtrusive.

I'm going to conveniently forget that the new US uniform looks like FC Dallas while I'm watching my national team!

My favorite of our shirts was the charcoal one from a few years back. I think I'm weird.

I think the Olympics coach is going to watch Beckham against the Sounders in Seattle mid-week rather than the Dallas game.

If ts3 wants me to take charge again, he has to let me know via PM. Otherwise, fair game.

Think the same line-up will be trotted out for this, why change what finally seems to be clicking?

And the FCD defense seems vulnerable, so let's go at 'em!

FINALLY! I apologize big time guys. For some reason I got locked out of my Big Soccer account. I just couldn't log on. I even had one of my new graphics ready for the P/I/P. I'll still post it anyway.

Thanks for the graphic, tsaldana3 - very nice. That must have been frustrating to be locked out.

    Standings:

    FC Dallas -- LA Galaxy
    Position in Table: 5 -- 6
    Points: 10 -- 9
    Record: 3-3-1 -- 3-3-0
    GF/GD: 10/-2 -- 10/0
    Last 5: L-L-W-W-L -- W-L-L-W-W

These are two teams who are very close in the standings. Dallas plays tonight at home against RSL, so we will have two games in hand on them, and a little more rest. They have not yet won a road game, and our recent record is a little better. On paper we have the advantage.

(Sorry for the formatting - I need to learn to do tables)

Dallas is a good team that is also underachieving at the moment. Could be a high scoring game.

Both RSL and Dallas are coming of losses, both are going to be gunning for the win. I think that its going to be a very good game tonight but it will also drain the legs of FCD because of RSL's high possession game. Include the short week and travel time, we should win. The team is starting to turn it around and winning so this could be a great mental win for the lads. This should also be a great game. On our side Lopes one more week training with the backline should make him a bit more confident in the back. our attacking 5 will hopefully be clicking and gotta have a great game. Big game for Dunni and Magee because Shea is quite a talent. I am gonna be in Wine Country in Temecula so I am gonna DVR it. Support the G's!!

Maybe one of the super-duper mods can take TSaldana's cool graphic, Geneva's awesome opening post and a dash of Hachiko's unbridled enthusiasm and mix it all together in a first post for this thread that will help propel the team to victory on Saturday.

I think a good opening post in this thread, combined with a strong, tight defensive unit that works together cohesively, solid pressure in midfield and quick passing into the offensive third, and strong movement and diagonal runs from the attackers to open up the Dallas defense, along with good games by Donovan and Beckham, and of course Magee and Duni controlling Brek Shea, will help us take all 3 points...

    :)

    Good points.

I thought Shea played mostly on the left? I guess I've missed it if he's switched over primarily to the right. I was thinking Franklin was going to get the test.

Shea can be off and on. If he's on and sharp, he can definitely be a handful. Hopefully he'll be tired from RSL tonight.

i would REALLY like to see Bruce try this out, Dallas pinches in all the time, they aren't that effective from wide areas, Shea always pinches in for a run at a goal so this would shore up the middle and be very interesting too.

    ------------------Saunders-----------------------
    Franklin------Meyer-------Lopes----------Dunivant
    --------------AJDLG-----Juninho------------------
    -----Magee--------Beckham------Donovan-------
    --------------------Keane-----------------------

AJ makes great tackles and has a great eye for the game, but he is too small to be a CB, so why not a CDM!? It allows Juninho a little more movement up front and allows Beckham to concentrate on attack. Keane is more than good enough to play a lone striker as well and we could always swap becks with donovan

AJ had a phenomenal year last year and got himself a call-up to the national team while playing CB. There are plenty of smaller CBs that do fine. It's not like Meyer is much taller anyway.

Watched a lot of the Dallas/RSL game tonight. Highlight to view:

I was going to say that Dallas has a lot of injuries, which will make the short turnaround tough for them, but that Ihemelu/John will be tough to break down. But then RSL broke them down and made it look pretty easy. We should have a good shot at this game, but we'll have to put forward a good effort. Shea and Castillo(??) look pretty dangerous as attackers and Jackson is back.

Saw that Brek Shea got third place for key players for the match on MLS.com but faded again down the stretch. I gotta say, dude has looked tired for MONTHS. And coming off of little rest? Only good for us.
