He was absolutely to blame. He gave the ball away to Beckerman and then went chasing over to the sideline instead of getting back into position. This allowed Beckerman was able to break forward into the space Opara had vacated.
Charles has always had the potential but injuries have played a massive part in his development. Hopefully he keeps on developing
No, but that doesn't matter much...I think we can be happy with some extra touches at the moment, don't you think?
Another Jonathan Top story. http://www.fcdallas.com/news/2012/04/jonathan-top-making-most-his-opportunities One wonders whether he's passing Ruben Luna on the FC Dallas depth chart. They're probably neck and neck......................
Puberty is a hell of a thing. Ruben Luna looks like a linebacker now, while Jonathan Top seems to have lost quite a lot of weight. Both can learn a lot from Blas Perez.
Re: Salgado: Vancouver has signed another striker. http://www.prostamerika.com/2012/04/24/whitecaps-add-caleb-clarke/62284
What do you mean "what the hell?" Caleb is a local Vancouver kid whom they've been developing for years! It makes perfect sense. Caleb is a very hard worker and is fully deserving of this.
I think he said "What the hell?" because Vancouver now has 9 guys to play the forward position. [Le Toux, Barbara, Harris, Salgado, Mattocks, Tan, Hassli, Camilo.......and now Clarke]. They could trade away Salgado, Hassli, and Barbara.......and still have enough forwards. What are they doing? Planning to use the dreaded and feared 0-0-10 formation?
