Everyone loves to get on Marquez, mostly because he's Mexican and what he's done vs the USA...but from my vantage point... He's missed 3 games...we've sucked in each. He's played in 4 and we're 3 wins 0 losses and 1 draw and averaging 4 goals a game. Coincidence? I doubt it. I'll tell ya the 2 new Scandinavian signings are wonder kids. Shocking thing is that Holgeresen is actually playing decent or the one not to blame. The first goal the defense isn't to blame and that's purely on Henry.. Holgeresen did step up pretty quickly and Pontius just had a nice strike, can't do anything about that second goal was stupid defending that made Santos look like Ronaldo Third goal putrid decision making by Palsson
People don't hate Marquez because he's mexican. We hate him because he's a lazy asshole who doesn't give a shit about the team. Although Palson has played poorly today he still has played better than Marquez has this year at a fraction of the price and cost..
Keel should never have backed off on the first goal, there is absolutely no reason that he and Holgersson couldn't have closed in on Pontius together. Its called defending as a team, a concept our player's dont seem to have heard of. On the third goal it wasn't Palsson's decision making, he just slipped because the field is a swamp, then Lade was pushed off far too easily and Solli was caught ball watching (again) instead of following runs into the box. Our defense is a circus act. Solli has ZERO defensive awareness, Holgersson and Keel cannot communicate to save their lives, and Lade showed he's prone to the same brainfarts as the rest of our guys. This is an amateur level defensive line.
Well besides the fact that the defense can't defend and our defensive midfielders cannot do anything why is no one complaining about the lack of effort of Henry. He does not move at all unless the ball is put within 2 feet of him. He never defends and only pursues the play about half the time. And the fact that Dax McCarty was started over lindpere in the middle. In this half palsson has showed he can defend and pass better than McCarty, so leave him as your defensive center mid and put lindpere as the creative offensive midfielder where he won team MVP. Moral of the story is fire backe!

Solli is not nearly as bad as you say. He isn't great but remember it was Hans great idea to sign him and make him a defender when he was an attacking midfielder. With the way this team is sign another 3 defenders and make Solli an attacking midfielder again
Our D is way too soft...no tough guys... rather a bunch of wimps. I feel bad for Lade. Hopefully he will learn from the f ups and move on. Lindy in for Blue Cheese and Ruthven in for Keel... Good subs from "I don't sub Backe"
Maybe I'm being harsh, but I honestly believe Solli's lack of basic defensive technique and awareness is one of the most overlooked problems in this team. He has no idea how to use his body to win and protect the ball in 1v1 situations (see the 2nd goal in this game), constantly gets caught ball watching while his mark makes a run into the box (see the 3rd goal), and has a nasty little habit of "clearing" the ball to the top of our own 18. Towards the end of the season Albright filled in for Solli and I thought our defense looked a lot better, Solli is great going forward but it doesn't make up for his defensive shortcomings.
Lade can't play D. He is too small,he is going to get pushed off every ball like he has in this game.
I will agree, but of the 4 normal defenders I like him over keel, miller or holgersson. He has a drive and toughness they don't and in many other games wins battles. He has looked awful in this game but the whole team has for that matter
The ass hole of Backe is playing games with him and others worst players he give them chance after chance to screw all over like Ballouchy and Richards.... Henry season is over, he look tiered and is making mistakes after mistakes, better give him a couple games off instead of Lindpere....
If im not mistaken he only got pushed off once and he wasn't even in a position to lure off the bigger Santos. Santos would have probably scored regardless even if Lade managed to stay with him

No. He really hasn't played better The Scandanavian Boys brought in suck and suck badly. Kassell would have been just as good. As would Mendes

Lade play much better that Miller has been playing all this time and always pass the ball ahead, not like Miller that always make his passes behind to no compromise his play...I hope that Backe give one more chance to Lade next game....And please sit Henry for a couple of games he is looking tiered already and like that isn't doing nothing good for the team...
Losing by 3 goals, 20 mins left, sit Henry so he does not get hurt at end of game like Conde. Guy never sits with 3 goal lead or down 3, i don't get it.
I'm not asking to be sub him, I say to give him a game or two to rest, he look tiered, you see him make a lot of mistakes and trotting the field and some times stand still looking the game as a spectator....and bitching for anything....For one of his mistake was one goal and other so close for the same....
Me neither. And Corey Hertzog has to be ********ing nailed to the bench at this point. Poor dude will be lucky to see any minutes this year, if he couldn't find his way into this game. Thought we were worse after the substitutions today, FWIW... one of the few times i wish Backe HADNT made changes.
I don't understand why Hertzog didn't get a chance to play today. I mean Artega of all players? Nothing good can come out of having Henry playing in wet turf down 3-0.. We need to save the guy..
