I've got a prediction. Hughesy won't finish the season in the starting rotation. Something has gone wrong with him. His fastball is limping to the plate. He didn't have the Joba rules but he was brought along slowly so can't blame that we rode him too hard. He'll be gone in a few weeks. God bless Andy for coming back.

Don't be too quick on that prediction. Pineda made it all of 15 pitches before he had to be shut down again. That, combined with the fact that HALF the rotation has been shaky so far makes me think that there is plenty of time for Hughes to rebound. When Andy comes back, I think it will be a battle between Hughes and Garcia. Frankly, I'm more worried about Sabathia at this point.
