Basically you need some trustworthy European based Tifosi to allow it to be shipped to him and then ship it to you for less. Anyone help him out? I'm not in Europe ATM.
i'll be in NY, Boston, and (maybe) Chicago with my Cafu jersey i can drive to NY or Boston, but i'll fly/amtrak to Chicago if Roma's playing a worthwhile team. if it's like Chicago Fire then no thanks any one know the teams for NY and Chicago yet?
Schnix I didn't realize you were from bk. I also didn't know you could Amtrak to Chicago. I have a feeling they are going to play Red Bull NY.
i'd have to travel to manhattan to amtrak to chicago. it'll be expensive as hell, but a lot more comfortable than being on a plane. that and i hate waiting for security checks
I heard that Chicago Fire is another possibility. The issue is about the stadium. AS Roma wants Wrigley Field, while obviously the Fire has its own Toyota Park. No way. The will play at Yankees Stadium, and I feel it will be an Italian club the opponent
i was just at red bull arena yesterday. red bulls will be playing spurs this summer. so i doubt they have enough time to play roma especially that late in the MLS season
why no way? Tottenham is playing there like stated before. Unless Roma plays someone big they aren't going to fill out Giants Stadium
The bigger MLS teams will generally play multiple Euro teams over the summer. I think we could still play NY
yeah it was only my second time at a red bull match. i only moved here few years ago and i keep saying i'm going to go lol we were sitting on the opposite of the supporters section, towards the parking lot side, so i got see both RB goals close up henry's assist was amazing and his touches were still spot on. first time i've seen him play with my own eyes
I need to go back Redbull arena sometime. My friends and I made it a tradition every year to go when they played LA but I haven't been back in a couple of seasons. It's a nice stadium and tickets are cheap
yeah, i kinda wanna go more often now. never knew football tickets here in USA would be so cheap. atmosphere is kinda poor though, no offense since you were in the supporters section and getting to/from the stadium is a hassle from the NYC
You think it's a hassle? Its directly off the path train and you walk a quarter of a mile. Ever been to San Siro? You have to walk almost 15 minutes to get to the stadium from the last metro stop. Yeah atmosphere was quiet but I mean these are franchises, and you had the Rangers playing last night and Boston was at the Rock so the stands could have been more filled. Still a good turn out.
do they do the fireworks thing every match? i thought that was a nice touch. plus it helps post-match crowd control because some ppl leave after the match, some stay for the fireworks. i remember last time i was at RB arena (vs new england i think it was???), the post-match crowds on the streets were huge. we stood outside the metro station for a good 20 minutes just to get into the station
No I think that was just a promotion along with the free Henry poster. Thats a great point, with crowd control I didn't think of that. I took the path back to Newark Penn and there was almost no one getting back on that way, I was really surprised. Then got hassled by hobo's outside the station in Newark.
well we drove yesterday instead to avoid the lines by the metro parked on the street behind wendys. got a parking ticket for no reason. but they purposely botched the ticket so that we could fight it easily. i think the police were just looking to fill their ticket quotas
Bayonne bridge connects Staten Island to Bayonne and is about $12, so maybe you mean something else? I go to school in Staten Island and from jersey it's $12 in tolls per day plus gas for my inline 6 cylinder. $20 day
I called Ace Ticketing this morning as I am taking my lady and her sister to see Liverpool-Roma and collect on any wagers you guys feel like losing. Anyway, Ace is a premium ticketing place but I couldn't get an answer at the box office so take what they said with a grain of salt. One goal will be at about where third base is and the other out near the bleachers with a ton of seats added on the field. $150-$300 per seat either on the field or in the grandstand. Seating is just gonna be general admission, of course, rather than having separate Liverpool, Fiorentina and Roma sections. I'm gonna go by the box office tomorrow or Wednesday.
