all I know is that he hustled the entire game and didn't hide after missing the open net at the start of the 2nd half.

Funny how el-capitano wants to talk about 'him' instead of Carroll.
The chief reason that 26 'has earned it' and gets away with his childish attacks on every new person is because of wannabe mods like this.
Nobody has 'earned' to be a bully or jerk. This place would be a lot better if the mods would actually do their jobs, instead of allowing the shite, that certain mods do. It's hard to stay here, but I've seen a few leave. Why let the jerks win? I encourage people to stand up against 26, and hope that some mods will 'retire'. LOL.

    Back to football:
    The Guardian:

After all the criticism, Andy Carroll could revel in achievement as he completed Liverpool's recovery to take their place against Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup final. The £35m signing headed home the winner from a free-kick by the substitute Craig Bellamy three minutes from the end.

Seriously- where's your sensa humour, la? :D

    Shakes head.

Everyone's on the same page, we all want Carroll to do well, but if he's not playing well, people are going to say so. If he is, then people will then people will appreciate him. At the moment he's playing well, so long may it continue, because if it does, it usually means that we're winning games as a club. ;)

You sound more ridiculous every time you post, you are obsessed with 26.

You should thank your lucky stars that the 'weak' mods haven't given you a yellow card or even a straight red for all the personal attacks and name calling you throw our to almost everyone.

This board is not a therapy session for you or designed to be a place where everyone must agree with you to make you feel better.

Little advice for you and then I will no longer interact with you in any way:

    1. Get over yourself
    2. Stop insulting people
    3. Stop calling people names
    4. Respect other peoples opinions
    6. Know that it's OK that we disagree with each other sometimes
    7. Dish out aggression - expect reaction

It's time to grow up if you want to have fun here.

As you can see, me and capitano can handle ourselves. And PLEASE stop sending me harrassing private messages. (Mods?)

When you point a finger at someone, 3 are pointing back at you.
All I've done is stand up for Suarez, Carroll, and myself. Sorry if that offends. you.

And if anyone wants to check out your posts, at the beginning of this thread, or others, I think you were warned by the mods to calm down - hypocrite.

Practice what you preach, then you might be taken seriously.
Mockery is neither constructive or respectful and it's an all to common trait in your posts.
You've banded the same SELL HIM nonsense in this thread, without really giving him much chance to progress with his obvious improvement, from a shocking start, poor 1st touch being the main highlight setting the trend in those early days. You try desperatley to belittle anyones opinion that contradicts your own. When anyone calls you out on your dreary cries of SELL you play the innocent card that you've been insulted.
I'm quite happy to be called out when I try and highlight Skrtel's failings, at least it shows people are passionate about the club and player. I wouldn't start crying that i've been insulted to try and deflect an argument like you, though the fact some can't accept not everyone follows the herd like sheep is tiresome.

As for 26, any opinion he disagrees with he labels it as trolling. Says it all really, you just have to accept kids roam these forums like it or not, the world still turns and life is sweet.

The amazing thing is that he does it with the back of his head. That must be hard to do. AC for England? (No - they will pretend that he's not peaking). He would be bad news for opposition defences!

brilliant second half performance by the lads. I'm one of his biggest critics but today he worked his socks off. The goal was excellent but the biggest positive was his die hard attitude. Welcome to the club.

Oh please, pot calling the kettle. Allow me to introduce you to a couple of friends of mine, sarcasm and humour. I hope you three will get on well.

I have no reason, need or desire to justify anything to you because clearly you're a well resected poster here. I am as sarcastic as anyone else on here, if you need to develop a sense of humour that's not my problem. I don't make personal attacks as a rule and you making up stuff in a post doesn't make it fact just because it is now in black and white.

The fact that you are so obsessed that you troll through old posts to try and prove conspiracy theories and hypocrisy says more about you than it does anyone else. I don't personally attack people including you (or at least I try not to) and I am happy to have people disagree with me, I am also happy to give as good as I get and I must be willing to take it just the same way. But this personal stuff and name calling gets silly and doesn't make for a good discussion.

Look my opinion of AC is that he isn't good enough for Liverpool and that hasn't changed because he scored two goals this week. I am glad he did score those goals and I will be more than happy if he turns out to be a great player and a solid buy for us; I am happy to be wrong when it comes to a player doing well for the club. If he finishes the season well then great, clearly this week he has earned his cheque, some more respect for his efforts and his tenacity and there is no denying that, but it in the context of the season it hasn't changed much in my mind. But like I said, I would rather be wrong.

Agreed. I applaud his effort. Now, he needs to score more goals with his forehead and feet instead of the back of his head. :D

I can't help but wonder if being booed off the pitch at Newcastle was a turning point for him... Perhaps his sometimes lackadaisical approach to playing and training was down to a "well, if it doesn't work out here, I can always go back home to the toon -- which is where I kinda want to be, anyway" attitude...

Now, he realizes that they don't want him back and if he's going to play anywhere besides west ham or Bolton, then he's going to need to up his game, put in the extra effort on the pitch and in training... And it looks like its having an effect, already...

I doubt he'd have got any part of his head on it without the guiding hand from a big hairy Belgian pulling him into it. Carroll looked pretty bemused when it went in. Like, Whereditigo??????

Repeating myself, must be gettin auld!

Carroll is doing better than when he first came to us, he's working harder and perhaps he will score some more good goals. But, I really don't see Milan, Real or the likes of Barca opening up a bidding war for Carroll any time now or in the future.

Remember whats-his-face? The stork, the other big tall git Rafa brought in, Rafa stayed with him for 11 goaless weeks before he turned his game around. He became Engerlands best gaol scorer that season......So Rafa sold him..

Not a lot different as far as I'm concerned.
There was only that element of luck that we had, that made the difference. The first goal each were defensive gifts. The winner was Carroll keeping head on the ball while either being helped or hindered by getting dragged by his jersey.
    Hardly stellar stuff.

The thing is, reading this thread, you would think we had lost. We won an FA cup semi final against the bitter rivals! I get the feeling you guys need to have a look in the mirror. This forum is mad whether we lose, draw, or win. What a dreary place.

Don't take it so seriously. I don't think anyone is unhappy we won, clearly everyone is happy with the semi final result, (and 26 is happy any time he gets past a semi :D). The issue is that it's easy to be distracted by the occasional win from the problems that still exist.

I'll be ecstatic <when> we win the FA Cup but it won't change the fact that we have gaps in the squad and it won't change our league position now will it. Give any fan a choice of which they want the club to win most, the FA Cup or the league and I think you know the answer.

No. We should take it seriously. We should take it personally, too. We ought to get offended about and by everything. Let's just start neg repping eachother. I think we should have won the semi-final and won it so emphatically that we won the final at the same time through 'theoretical goal difference.' I want Suarez to score a hattrick of 360 bicycle kicks, and Andy Carroll to shoot a goal so hard it tears the net.
