It's really impressive. Not to take credit away from Rehhagel but the Bayern of the time was also considerably weaker than the present incarnation, making it that much more impressive.
Look at what Subotic and Grosskreutz have done to BVB's reputation : ''Mich nervt es wenn man immer sagt, dass Bayern arrogand wär.
Google translate '' I resent it when they always say that Bayern look at what times you wär.Dann arrogand Subotic makes after the penalty, instead of which he is happy he is to seal and make something of something like an unathletic ist.Noch, Grand Cross is sounds worse times what gives the public for comments and there is always Bayern Advertisement arrogand. Dortmund is a lot worse''
It will be interesting to see what happens when they meet in Berlin next month that's all I have to say!
And this is a perfect example of how people can explain any type of stupidity in this planet. At the end of the day he was tripped and there was no way around that. I just love that people can argue a blatant penalty. If he was falling then a decent keeper wouldn't have his hands there fully committed and it would have been a far harder choice for the ref, but when a GK commits in such situations and you don't make the block, it's a penalty 10/10 times. ... Just what the ******** are you on about? I've never said that. My point is if it wasn't a known serial diver at that place that fell, no one would be talking about it. But it's Robben, who usually dives, and the likely chance why Subotic came at his face after the missed pen, so it becomes a topic regardless of whether he deserves or not. And this wasted less then a minute of my life reading this. The only bullshit which whenever Bayern is involved, your rants amuse me is you throwing a ref badge and hoping it can overpower common sense and the ability of the human eye, which can see clear obstruction. Player got hit by the GK's hands, clear penalty. I'd like for you to attempt some more ref plays though on how that still doesn't make it obvious, the 1st 2 paragraph really sold me.
A pretty decent argument, except you miss the point we are all making; He was not tripped...at least not by Weidenfeller - but by his own heel. Watch the clip again, man... As far as no way around that? You know there was. A super athlete like that could have simply hopped over that 5 inch obstacle in front of him... Trouble with that theory is, he knew he wasn't getting to the ball, much less into a scoring position - so he did what most players do, only he does it way more than most, and fake it trying to get a call 5 minutes from game losing 1-0 in what could have been a title deciding match. You really don't see beyond your own little view, do you?
we all know that Robben is an aggregious diver, he was known for it at Chelsea and probably in the Eridivisie as well... Subotic deserves a pat on the back for keeping it real
Pretty sure I saw dives across the entire match day. Why iIS this one so special? Anywho, congrats, good win, and deserved. Beating Bayern 4 times in a row is a nice feather in your hat.
It's not but it is more highly publicized than any other game so there will be extra attention on it. And most of all in this context, because some people actually believe otherwise!
It's not...I think everyone agrees with the other "dives" as being dives; regardless of who did it. However, there seem to be a few in your "peanut gallery" here that think Robben actually went down due to Roman's arm being extended when he actually went down on his own heel.
Yeah, he milked it like I'm sure any Bayern or Dortmund player would have. Still doesn't excuse Subotic's behavior but whatever.
No one is excusing anyone and no one is saying other players would not have done the same if they were in Robben's shoes. The point is, some actually believe this is an undisputed penner...it is not. As far as Subotic, he got hot-headed, but I get why he was so pissed off. He probably believed Robben was trying to determine the outcome of the match by cheating.
It has been several months again since my last post. However, I felt compelled to comment on the two finest games I have seen in the Bundesliga and extend sincere congrats to Footyfan1 and all the BvB faithful and "Wir sind Fussball" for Dortmund's second consecutive Bundesliga title. As a Bayern supporter, it was tough. Truth be said, FC Bayern were outplayed most of the match though it was an end -to- end struggle with outstanding passing shooting, goalkeeping and an sublime finish for the winner. Both Neuer and Weidenfeller were outstanding. Robben was an absolute disaster for keeping Lewendowski on-side, the penalty miss and point blank miss in front of goal! The Vfb Stuttgart and BvB match the previous week was a classic. Loved it. I hope the BvB will take Europe seriously next season and be able to reinforce its cadre towards the depth needed to be competitive in the CL. Meanwhile, Bayern will have to put it together and come out convincingly against a resurgent Mainz 05 before they face Real Madrid. It is my firm belief that Bayern can beat Real Madrid which is not convincing in back despite the endeavors of St. Iker. I know many may disagree. I know it will be close and take serious and committed focus. It is best to go into this with Real favored. Based on the form of Spanish football in Europe, they should be. However, Bayern will have to win without conceding at home or win by a 3-1 margin at the Allianz going into the away round. It will come down to will from then on. JMHO-Cheers Woody
^^^^ THIS!! It will be interesting. But we have a title race to settle first. We haven't won anything yet.
Because besides Lewandowski's goal, this was arguably the biggest play in the match we're discussing at THIS THREAD. A better question is, why do you think we shouldn't make it a "special" issue? I think I already know why, but just thought I'd ask....... It's nice. But in the end, what it meant to the title race was bigger than anything......
Bayern will handle Mainz easily as long as they don't go in with one eye on Real Madrid. Mainz is doing all right, but I think "resurgent" is a bit of an exaggeration. Great to see you back here man!
Oh I know. One slip up and we're a game away from handing Bayern the title. Look at Manchester United. Fans were getting ready to pop the champagne corks and they lost to cellar dweller Wigan. Now if they lose to Man City their title is in serious jeopardy. And that was with an 8 point lead.
And we've still got the Derby tomorrow (How the f#ck are we not playing on Sunday?) and Gladbach after that. We own Gladbach at home, but they will be gunning for us. We also cannot discount the other two clubs on our schedule who would love to beat us or take points off us to make their seasons. FCK should already be relegated when we play them at their house. They will be crazy to give their fans something to cheer. Hopefully, it won't matter by then. Of course, I hope the final day against Freiburg will already be a title celebration. But of course, that will depend on what happens tomorrow and next week......
