We all agree he should move but so far only Liverpool, Man U, and Villa have (supposedly) shown interest in him.. and to me , none of those seem like good ideas...

Hey, KSY's right in the middle!

I used to think that Liverpool was stacked in the MF, but it looks like their corps is a total disaster.

If the Dalglish catastrophe is aborted and his signings are cleared out (along with the manager himself), would Liverpool be a decent destination for KSY?

I mentioned that but our group here hates that idea. Not without reason...but better than rotting in that half baked league.

I can see Newcastle signing him.

That'd be an excellent move, provided Newcastle doesn't go on a garage sale, right?

If Ki was signed with a top tier club in epl he'd probably be treated like pcy. But then again Arsene doesn't give a shit about park. Ki should join a 2nd tier club like newcastle.

He'll be going for enough money that he won't be treated so. And he'll be UK proven if not necessarily EPL proven so there's no "he can't cut it in a physical league" crap.

Even if a couple players leave, so long as they retain enough of the squad and Pardew is still at the helm, I'd love to see Ki in a newcastle uniform next year. He wouldn't even be moving that far from his current home and he could go eat samgyubsal and soju with Ji.

if they finish 4th, he could even see champions league action next year.

Newcastle sounds like a good idea. They haven't shown interest in Ki yet, right?

EDIT: Apparently Mark Davies has been linked to Newcastle recently..

Anyone got $475 plus shipping to burn?

The new SPL champs are cashing in on their title success by flogging footwear worn by first-team aces during the campaign.
Single match boots used by Samaras, Beram Kayal and Ki Sung-Yueng are on sale through the club’s official stores and website.

Red-dy for action ... signed boot
Each is signed by the player and comes in a wooden frame with a certificate of authenticity.

Ki's shoes would be a solid investment. I remember Ji Dong Won's signed jersey went for a buttload.

According to Goal.com, KSY's put his contract talks on hold. Hopefully, this is a sign that he's going to leave.

Wouldn't his role be conflicting with Cabaye? Even though I rate Ki Sung Yong higher than him how would Newcastle play their midfield?

    Another Kayal/Ki system?

    Ba - Cisse - Arfa
    Ki - Tiote - Cabaye/Gutierrez

    I'd pay to see that.

Freak season for Newcastle, don't see them building on this. This is just recency bias, imo.

“Winning the league with Celtic has been the best moment of my career. Our passion and determination was greater than Rangers this season.
“To celebrate in the dressing room and on the bus home with beer and champagne was a great moment.
“Next season is huge and our challenge is to make an impact in the Champions League. We’ve been watching it on TV and now we want to take part.”
But the 23-year-old looks set to miss out on Celtic’s first Euro qualifier because South Korea want to call him up for the London Olympics.
He said: “It’s up to the coach, Hong Myung-Bo, whether he wants to pick me.
“But it would be a dream to play at the tournament.”
