Might as well get this started.

Orlando City will be holding a supporters' summit on Wednesday, January 25. Doors open at 5pm, summit begins at 6pm.

As part of it, they will be unveiling a new home kit for 2012.

Today the Lions announced the signing of midfielder James O'Connor.

The Irish international is coming to America likely to close out his career. He most recently comes from Sheffield Wednesday, and spent most of his English pro career at the second tier/Championship level.

I'm not so sure about Yordany Alvarez being on there. RSL is negotiating hard to have him stay in Salt Lake. And no knock on Orlando, but how does Yordany go from D3 to D1 and then back? Especially if the D1 teams wants him!

Some pundits here in RSL land think O'Connor was signed to provide depth for when Alvarez signs with RSL.

Lewis Neal is also on trial with RSL.

I think they permitted just over 200 to pre-register. U-23 has their own tryout on March 10-11.

    Orlando won this weekend, right?

I assume everyone is still partying and haven't had time to post on BS about the great game. Or did the live feed really suck?

There was no live feed. The only updates were from twitter @RuckusPR. But I did take video of the entire match. I posted a video of Chin's goal in the report on my blog.

Oh cool, I'll check it out. Was Gallardo serving out his red card from the Championship match?

Yes. Which is a good thing, because Sean Kelley had to stop a penalty kick.

Good news. Anyone know anything else about him? Looks like OCSC is heeding MLS's advice.

This just in from the radio show..

The team is expecting north of 10,000 on Sunday.

Quite ambitious. Then again, the new big-name sponsors announced today had to have a reason to sign on, so we shall see.

If they hit that, it would be a HUGE way to start the season.
