I'll call Dana White to see if he can get Ronda Rousey to call out Hope Solo. Would that help?

Seriously, there's nothing going on aside from the fact that WPS is now down to two employees -- a CEO and a CFO -- unless they've hired people I don't know about. Everyone else is gone.

On Hope's comments -- she's definitely not the only player with wishy-washy support of WPS. That said, given what we now know of Shannon Boxx's health, I don't think anyone could've expected her to play a full WPS season while preparing for the Olympics this year. So she's a unique situation. And to some extent, so is everyone. Solo wants to be in Seattle. O'Reilly wants to be in Boston. A lot of players are just choosing to live near their families right now. Can anyone begrudge them that?

I agree with this completely. Brittany Bock signed where she is living to W-League Colorado Rush (unpaid obviously), when surely she could have had a paid contract in WPSL Elite.

I could've sworn I heard the USSF had sanctioned WPS and the season had been saved. Sorry to see it go especially in a more pathetic manner than WUSA which we never thought would happen when WPS started.

On the bright side WPSL seems to be doing well and there is talk of MLS teams having female counterparts so there is hope for the future and I don't mean Solo! Ha ha!

How do you know it's unpaid?

Because the W-League has said it has no pro teams this year. You can't have paid players who aren't on pro teams.

That said, the stipulation is that you can't be paid for playing.
