C'mon man, the Kjaer red card on Borcchi was a joke. Kjaer touches his shoulder but somehow Brocchi's legs give way first. It was silly of Kjaer to even put his arm out and give the cheater the opportunity to dive, same with Nesta last night, he should've known better.
Wow! [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VPc7yywzlU"]Thiago's great touch/control vs Athletic Bilbao - YouTube[/ame]
Seen Thiago at the U20s tournament last summer, and knew he was going to be great, I didn't think he'd develop as fast as he has though. Thiago or Sahin would be a good solution for our midfield, however I can't see Thiago leaving Barca any time soon.
Busquets is a disgrace and always has been. I agree with DDR in the sense that I'm not going to shed any tears over Milan being out but Barca's constant diving is really disappointing. They're so good they don't need to do that. What's infuriating, in this country (USA) at least, is it's popular to label the Italians as the biggest divers. Of course no one likes to mention that Barca has taken the art to a whole other level. Barca can do no wrong. From here on out I am pulling for anyone but Barca.
same. for me it's not so much about ac milan. had it been any other team that barca was playing yesterday (except maybe lazio), i'd be as infuriated about the biased refereeing and all the diving/acting/ref-rushing by barcelona
I really really reallllly want Roma to sign Thiago. I just initially felt that many on this forum seem to have some kind of resentment against Barca players (Bojan) so I never mention it. But now I realize that many here are as generous with their praise as they are critical of Bojan so maybe my first impression was wrong. lol But I think Thiago would do our midfield a lot of good. Especially as far as keeping possession goes. If we can get Keita too that would be great. I'd take him over Gago any day of the week. WIth DDR and Keita and one of Pjanic/Marquinho/Thiago, I'd be very confident both home and away against pretty much any other midfield in Italy. Keita and DDR starting away games. The state of our defence is another matter entirely tho. Major overhaul needed.
keita's better than gago but he's olddd though. he needs time to adapt to serie A and learn the language. by that time, he'll be 34 already. not a good investment thiago would be great for our midfield though but will be epically expensive. he's the heir to xavi. why would barca let him go?
i wonder how his italian is. he left at the age of 3 though... perrotta was born in england and apparently his english is terrible. i love taunting my mates how he's the only englishman to win the world cup since 66
Who wouldn't want Thiago in their team? But Barca would be mad to let him go, and we would be mad to accept another player on a Bojan-like deal.
Not really a fan of Keita. Pep seems to trust him for the tough away games when solidity is required but Barcelona lose alot of fludiity when he plays. Thiago to Roma would be a dream (and there were serious loan links during last summer) but Barcelona would be crazy to let him leave. In my opinion, he is, along with Hazard, the most talented player born in 1991. Then you have the class of 92 - Neymar, Lucas, Gotze, Eriksen. I've read that Thiago's father was the third man in the line during Bebeto's famous baby cradle celebration in USA 94.
both players are pretty similar to me. i was born in portugal but left for estonia at the age of 3. i don't speak any portuguese except for maybe hi, good-bye, thank you, and 1 2 3
Yeah it makes me mad not as a Serie A fan but as a football fan. It's just frustrating year after year this happens, and when someone complains about it they are just labeled as complainers by the media.
well to an extent. if a certain person starts crying conspiracy and targeting UNICEF, then that's just crazy LOL
I'm not upset, or losing any sleep over the Milan loss. To tell you the truth I could care less who advances, but as a casual fan watching the champions league without supporting a particular team and hoping to see a good football match it's very disappointing to see such blatant favoritism. The same goes for Serie A.
most of us feel the same way. we're neutrals really. but doesn't matter. we root for underdogs. but if we complain, it's easy for the barca fans and the media in general to label us as sore losers
Exactly. Like when Napoli lost against Chelsea, their poor finishing and inability to defend on corners cost them the tie (not a lame penalty call). I left that series as a neutral fan completely satisfied, while this time it's yet another year where Barcelona get's a free pass. Hopefully Chelsea can knock them out and send their fans back to the Playstation.
barcelona can beat chelsea for all i care, but as long as they do it fairly or at least without controversy
Yeah I'm not saying there is some kind of huge conspiracy. I just can't enjoy a tournament when a team every year always gets help when struggling from outside sources. But I guess no matter what an El Clasico final was always going to happen anyway.
Barca can beat Chelsea even with 10 players, with no conspiracy ))),but i have feeling they will be crushed by next one ( i wish Bayern ),becouse Real has no chance against them.
I'm a bit dissappointed that none of my fellow romanisti had anything to say about the barca fan referencing to shooting me in the head.
yeah I just thought it was odd he got so dramatic. Last thing I need in life is another Barca bandwagoneer
