unfortunately the same trolls that attacked in the group A thread have struck here. thanks for quickly fanning the flames.

Buriram shock again, after they won against J-league champions now they beat Chinese champions Guangzhou away. Nice to see them playing well at this level.
Ahli 1- Sepahan 1 Ahli equalized in min 95 intense game. Good result for Sepahan since it was an away game and now they sit on top of the table with 4 points. Ahli goes to the bottom of the table with 1 point.
Well, Sepahan have only themselves to blame for exchanging a victory with a draw in the dying seconds of injury time, for (1) letting the Saudis come at them, when Sepahan is an attacking team, and could have scored a second goal if they had pushed the Saudis back in their own half (2) not taking the ball to the corners to waste time in the last few seconds when they had the chance to do just that (2) making a late tackle in the area in a non-threatening position to give the Saudi player a chance to simulate, when it was obvious that a part of the Saudi game plan was diving to get penalties. A draw is still a good result for Sepahan, given that they were playing in Saudi Arabia. But this is second time in two weeks that an Iranian team playing on Saudi soil, exchanges what should have been an easy victory in the context of the match, with a draw. As history shown, we should never give any second chances or lifelines to the Saudi teams, and these 3-point swings may come back to hunt us later on.
Here are the goals. Perspolis's strong showing in ACL is further proof that AFC is a joke. They give the least number of allocations in the West to Iran, yet the results clearly show that the Iranian clubs are the best in the West. Perspolis, who are 8th in the Iranian League, thrashes the UAE representative with 6 goals, yet Iran has 2.5 spots, wile UAE has 3.5 spots. Go figure. UAE clubs have been beating Qatari clubs left and right lately. This loss really seemed to piss off the Qatari media though, since they expected a win (rightly so imo). I think Baniyas and Al Jazira can advance to the next stages. Al Shabab have no chance, whereas Al Nasr have very slim chances unless they keep bribing the referees like they did in their last game.
I love them comments aswell, just rubbing it in after the victory. Buriram are somewhat of a confident, cocky outfit in Thailand, but they are matching their words with results. The understanding I get is that Conca et al couldn't be arsed today, what a pity for a guy paid so much to not give two hoots about performing.
How's the Guangzhou situation? Many Chinese students in Japan to support them again? How about the win bonuses, still the same?
