Well, we have a jersey supplier - Admiral Sportswear They used to supply the jerseys for the Force back in the day.
http://www.shop-afccleveland.com/ is the schedule even out yet? If I knew when the games were I might actually pick that up. It's very inexpensive. Edit: looks like they won't be out until Feb. http://massunitedfc.com/game-day/schedules/#.TxS_Hvnnncs
Great deal. Although the FREE Parking of the "VIP" Season Pass is a bit redundant. I mean, it's Byers, just park at Parmatown.
I agree. No need for me to go above the basic ticket package for me. I don't need unlimited drinks, unless of course it's beer The team shop in Parma is opening this Saturday, from 10-2. There's a facebook event for it on the team's facebook page. Though, I can't wait til we're at the point of discussing actual games and not some announcements about tickets and the like.
6th City Syndicate will be accepting members tomorrow at the ribbon cutting ceremony at the AFC Cleveland Headquarters in Parma. $15 will get you a 6th City shirt, a flag and much more. We will also be signing up members at the US vs. Venezuela watch party tomorrow night (Jan 21) at 8pm at Jockos Bar and Grille in Broadview Hts.

By the way, does anybody know what single-game tickets will cost? I'm trying to see if I can justify a season ticket on making 5 of the 6 games (will be in Indianapolis for the 500 during the second Greater Binghamton FC match).
Four Fridays, a Saturday, and a Sunday? What the hell, I'll buy season tickets for me and my daughter. $70, not a bad deal: http://www.shop-afccleveland.com/
Hmmm... "Thank you for placing your order. Your order number is 54. " Does not appear that many have purchased season tickets, or anything else for that matter. But it's still early.
$5 are the price of tix. season fix are $40. you get 6 games and a scarf. The VIP fix are more, but you get free food and drinks in the VIP tent.
You're kidding me, right? I shouldn't have bought them then. Paid $8 for shipping, too. It probably would have been cheaper for me to buy them at the gate and the scarf at the first game as well. I doubt the scarves will be much more than $14. That's ridiculous. What's the point to the consumer of a season ticket package if there is no real benefit?
Well, I guess that's something. I just didn't expect the tickets to be so cheap. It only amounts to a few bucks anyway, but it was just the principle. See you guys at the games.
What's the point to the consumer of a season ticket package if there is no real benefit? The benefits are helping these teams financially. That is why all of the teams in college and pro sports push season tix, 6 game packages etc, because that money upfront helps with their bottom line. Especially for an organization like AFC Cleveland, they really need season ticket money to help pay the bills. Im buying 2 season tickets, but will probably only make it to 4 of the 6 home games. Ill give the other 2 to neighbors to get them to the games. If your a Columbus Crew fan, you don't need to buy season fix because they will never sell out every game, good seats will always be available, but that upfront money does wonders for them. Its the same here, they will be playing in a 14,000 seat stadium, they may get 1,000 fans a game if they are lucky, but buying season tix really helps them out and that will hopefully have them stick around longer. Its $40 for season tix. Nobody should be complaining about the price.
There IS a benefit of getting season tickets; you're saving $10. You're getting $50 worth of things [tickets + scarf] for $40. That being said, I still haven't bought tickets since I don't know where I'll be living this summer.
I know this story should be under "players to follow", but here is a story on a former City Star ANOTHER RAILHAWK JOINS RANKS Whitecaps coach Martin Rennie added more depth to his midfield on Tuesday by acquiring Floyd Franks from the Carolina RailHawks for an undisclosed transfer fee. Franks, a 27-year-old from Alabama, played under Rennie for two seasons with the second-division RailHawks, and before that with the third-tier Cleveland City Stars. He's the fifth former RailHawk to sign with the Caps, joining goalkeeper Brad Knighton, midfielders Jun Marques Davidson and Matt Wat-son, and forward Etienne Barbara. He's also a former teammate of Whitecaps midfielder John Thor-rington, as the two played for MLS side Chicago Fire in 2007. Thor-rington, though, missed most of that season recovering from a broken leg and he's currently out with a quad strain, which might have helped the Franks transfer along. "It's something we wanted to do [regardless of the Thorrington injury]," said Rennie. "He's played in MLS before so he knows the league, he's a hard-working professional and it gives us more depth in that position. "I don't think [Thorrington] will be out that long." Funny you should say that, the team finalized its roster yesterday. First signing is Vinny Bell, from Case Western. He scored 20 goals in 19 games this past season. The rest of the roster should be announced over the next couple of weeks.
The roster was announced yesterday. I was at the team shop when all 25 players were signing their contracts. There is a pic on the 6th city syndicate Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=213944438705056&set=o.195809990453096&type=1&theater We have a roster also. It should be posted also. Lots of players from Notre dame College and Lake Erie College
Any idea when they are going to mail out tickets and scarves? I was told end of March and it's April.
Yeah - I'm seeing a bunch of DIII college players on the roster. Maybe I was uninformed about exactly what the NPSL was - but I was expecting a higher caliber of player.
