    Yup agreed.

    We DONT NEED ANYMORE CARDS.

    Whats the gameplan here guys?

Use B team? or Use our A team and sub 3 by half?

We definetly need to wrap this game up early, we cant let it slip late into the game...

Full team. Champions League KO stage is not a place where you "risk" anything unless you've won the first 4-0. Look at Milan vs Arsenal, Milan nearly choked as well.

Go hard, score one and then just keep possession and look for openings.

True i would have all the full starters and only sub the ones needed after we got the game in hand. 2-0 by half time would be a lock

The thing about the milan/arsenal was that they both won massive in their own home, where as this one, bayern won 2-0 away from home.

At home bayern are ridiculous ;)

Definitely need to play the A team for this one. The rotation can happen on the weekend against lowly Augsburg.

I'd start with the best 10 possible and let Robben come off the bench if necessary (to get him some rest). Don't forget the FFF rescheduled Marseille's weekend fixture so they will have fresh legs.

The key here obviously is to keep a clean sheet. Bayern cannot fall asleep since Marseille can score at any time, they are a sloppy team but they don't quit trying to score.

Start the best 11 we have fit and treat the match seriously. Sub early if the score and l'OM's pace allows and worry about the other games only after a result is ensured.

We need to consider the BVB - VFB result very carefully. Dortmund looked to have that one sewn up and was dominating the match right up until the first goal from Stuttgart. We can't allow that sort of shift so Heynckes needs to be very smart and very cautious with his lineups and substitutions -- not so much playing defensively, but rather keeping enough threat on the field to keep Marseille on their heels if we go up early.

We also need to come out swinging on offense and solid on defense. Can't afford to gift them an early goal and be forced to come back at home.

    My opinion...

Bayern need to score first. Once this is accomplished, the pressure is off as Marseille will have to score 3, and that I am not sure has happened at the Allianz yet this season... (???)... by an opponent.

Start all those from our best XI that rested Saturday... Alaba, Ribery, Gustavo... but sub out those who need to break once and if Bayern find the decisive 3rd goal. Rafinha for Lahm perhaps, Peterson for Gomez, etc.

    Rest up for April 11th.

Only one team has managed to score more than one goal at the Allianz Arena this season.

Letr's not discount Augsburg, they have a way of upsetting the opposition. Losing to Augsburg would set us back, possibly in an irrecoverable way. BvB slipped up once, they may not do it again.

Anywo, A-team and once we pull ahead, sub some out.

Agreed with all this. We can't afford to lose a single point until the end of the league.

Svein Oddvar Moen, 33 year old Norwegian has been appointed as referee for this fixture. As his age suggests, he is relatively unexperienced but nonetheless UEFA think highly of him.

He has refereed 5 European club fixtures this season and handed out 16 yellow cards. Most controversial of these matches was the CL group stage match Zagreb - Madrid, where Moen received lots of criticism from the away team for his lenient approach.

Domestically, he averages just over 2 bookings per match in 12 matches so far.

Lahm, Robben and Gomez(almost) benched, respect for OM but......achtung to the referee, we'll play with Madrid if we pass and the bastard will give us a yellow every stupid foul, I bet on it like in the Velodrome, 5 players booked and Schweini suspended.......

Yeah lets not discount every team we've ever played with. It's ********ing Augsburg at home, it's hard to see anything other than a win. This match is far more important and they are far worse than Marseille.

Paolo, my friend, having BOTH Rafinha AND Contento starting on the wings is just inviting trouble. It takes away any threat Ribery provides on the left and gives too much opportunity for l'OM to counter when Rafinha plays too high and leaves Boateng having to cover the whole of the right by himself.

And given how little Rafinha has played since the break I'd expect him to come out a bit rusty as it is. No way we should give Marseille the opportunity for an early goal against us. We need to get an early goal before we start to think about resting players.

What the hell is wrong with you? You're sounding like someone who just started supporting Bayern last week. We have lost to some of the worst teams in the Bundesliga and you're going to take a win for granted, especially against a side that will defend all out?

To be fair, some of those "worst teams" that managed a result against Bayern, like Freiburg, have completely turned their season around and shown that they have more quality than a team like Augsburg.

I hope we lead by 2 or 3 goals at Half time and sub out Boateng for Tymo, Pranjic for Kroos and Contento for Gustavo (with Alaba moving to CM)

Boateng, Gustavo, Kroos are players we would need for our potential semi final match with Madrid.

Juup should warn the affected players not to try anything stupid
