I loved the Predator range. I think I'll be testing these in the summer, but can't really see any more boots topping the AdiPowers from Adidas.

I agree c-dub, the pred is such an iconic boot because it's so identifiable with it being black/white/red. It's a sad day!

yeah, its not quite the same anymore - [IMG]

for me, I always loved the tongue cover, and the way the sole was spit, with material running under it! not to mention the 'power' areas running along the toe/instep. Think the predator X sort of killed my love for the predators

So another pair of 11pro's ripped at the eyelet on me when I had them on for about 10 mins.....It is official, outside of the Copa, adidas is pretty much crap now. I won't be buying any of their stuff for a long, long time.

I have two ripped (at the soleplate) pairs of F-50's that I am going to return to them, with a letter detailing my disgust over their use of awful materials to make shoes. I am expecting a full refund, and hopefully in a check, not a merchandise credit, because I don't want to be forced to buy any of their stuff again (outside the Copa line).

As a long time pred wearer I agree and cant begin to explain my disgust. Adidas have basically made all silos into cheap f50 crap in colors that attract 14 yr. olds. I cant decide whether to buy one last pair of adipowers before these ridiculous new preds come out or just call it quits with them altogether. Adipures= known for classic look and k-leather, 'lets make new ones without either!'. Preds= classic power boot, red and black, leather, iconic, 'lets make itunits and paste grooves on them to appeal to kiddies before the Euros!' Great ideas Adidas, I hope ppl continue to voice their opinions over this and their outrage, the entire marketing dept. of what was once the most reputable soccer company (imo) should be sacked. I wouldnt wear the new 'LZ's if they paid me to.

I agree to a certain extent... In reality it's a buisness and they will do what they need to do, but it does feel a bit extreme. Look at the bright side, for all we know these boots could be AMAZING!

I think its because there aren't that many kits which use silver/silver socks - a lot of boots are designed around the colour ways of kits that a brand manufactures, which is why black, white, red and blue boots are the most common (as they are the most common kit colours) - I agree with you though, I'm a huge fan of Gold boots

I'm not sure about the blue/silver, think I will wait until I see them in the flesh.

I understand why Adidas want to release the red/blue/white for the Olympics as the UK are hosting it, but surely it would have mad better sense to hold the current colourway until then?

Does anyone know when the green/black colourway is out?

I'd say the LZ is purely synthetic.

    Hey guys,

Many of you will have seen my posts in the past, and am just asking for a little favour from you all.

I'm currently doing an article for SoccerReviews, where I am a regular poster, and would like some content to put in the article. I am aiming to help people buy the correct football boot for the shape of their foot, since I have had periods of pain after splashing out on a pair of boots that didn't fit me correctly.

So, what I'd like is for all of you to put the boots you wear and what shape of foot you have below. A list would be fine or anything of that sort. I'd also appreciate any comments on 'why' you wear these specific boots.

    Any feedback would be great.

    Thanks guys,

    Jon

EDIT: I just think I should clear up why I'd like your feedback. Instead of putting my own opinions, I think readers would appreciate other people's views on what boots to wear instead of just mine. Personally, I've grown frustrated with people saying; "Oh you should wear this boot for that reason." with no real explanation or anything of that sort. Having other peoples views to express to people would be better.

You bet I will, I read soccerreviews, soccerbible, footy-boots, soccerreviewsforyou and soccercleats101 several times a day. I used to read soccerreviews when it was SER too.

Feet: Medium sized heel and mid foot, smaller toe area.
Boot: Puma v1.11 line, Adidas Copa, Adidas Pathiqe, Tiempo Legend IV, Adipower Predator

I have more boot's too name but I like to get a half size and sometimes a full size smaller on leather boots. I prefer leather overall but sometimes weather conditions can be pretty bad, the v1.11's are my synthetic boot of choice as they fit my foot perfectly and the upper is very nice. I have had issues with the MiCoach Adizero being too wide in the toe area, Vapor's are a pain to break in but once that stage is over they fit like a charm.
