I think we should be much more worried about the fitness of Schweinsteiger than whether or not Gomez will start at the EM.

I would quite pissed if he didn't make it, esp if Germany win because I'd like him to win an international title before he retires. Jesus Kirsten your pedo-love really needs to take a backseat because Loew is certainly not even considering them so close to the tournament.. he's likely going to get someone with experience if it comes down to it. And if Klose can't play at all, than Gomez's back up would likely (or rather hopefully) be Muller, as Reus works better from behind and doesn't have the instinct or positioning like Muller does imo. Muller works better when making runs behind the main ST as well but I think he would fit in there moreso than Reus, Reus would simply play RW instead of him.

    All hypothetical of course. :S

Nerlingrrr stated it won't be an issue of weeks and weeks and he will be back soon. Whether what he said can be taken seriously of course is up to you, but one could imagine he will definitely be ready by then. Only if of course he gets a knock in the same spot and his injury gets worse after his comeback...

An all German midfield of Khedira-Sahin-Oezil from Real Madrid against Apoel in the Champions League. That's a huge success for German football. I hope in the next 5 years, the top European teams will be filled with German players. Merkel at Milan,Gnabry,Mertesacker,Podolski at Arsenal. Goetze will probably end up in Chelsea/Arsenal/United. Herrmann,Draxler and Esswein somewhere too. Hummels at Barca.

4 weeks I believe, he should come back around the time Euro 12 rolls around unless there's further complications.

    Sahin =/= German.

Cos another Turk can see that same lineup and claim same thing

Sahin is born and raised in Germany so I consider him German. He wouldn't be that good without Germany. So yes, Germany deserves a huge credit for Khedira,Sahin and Oezil. It's a big success for the country.

Turkey have a population of 75 million people and the nation is football mad so why haven't they produced great players like Oezil and Sahin? They have like 30 million people more than Spain and England but can't produce any stars for the top top European teams.

Agreed. What defines a player is the culture that allowed him to become the player he is. In this case it's German.

Besides your mistake on the background of Sami, no, a Turk could not say the same about that midfield. As we have now established for you, Sami is not of Turkish decent. He was born and raised in Germany and learned his football in Germany. The same for Oezil and Sahin.

I like the direction. I strongly recommend Bundesliga defenders and strikers to move to Spain and leave their comfort zone cuz that is where the real football will be. Bundesliga is great but it won't overtake La Liga soon.

Who cares about Man U? Just cause they're too bad to win....

Spain means Barcelona and Real Madrid. Thats for sure. Nothing else....
But whatever the main thing is that all the german players are ready for the Euro and do what they have to, score! :)

If Spain wins the Euro again I will ******** myself

Just because Real and Barca float over everything else doesnt mean all other teams are crap. Look at Hannover and Schalke.

Bioth were arguable the better teams tonight and Hannover has a good chance to advance. And remember, this Schalke has beaten Inter 5-2. Nothing is over yet.

The German lads are getting used to losing to Spain, arent they ? That's surely not a good sign. Schalke played well though and it's a learning curve for the young lads like Draxler and Holtby. Great experience. Hannover still have a chance.

At least, two German internationals are starting for Real.

haha I chose my words carefully. I expected someone to get caught in that trap because I said earlier that Sahin is German. Disappointing that it's squid of all people. Chris, show us one those ''owned'' images right here :D
