AS Roma has announced plans to tour the US in the summer and play friendly matches. Chicago, Boston, and New York are set to be visited. AS Roma - TBA (Chicago - July 22nd) AS Roma - Liverpool (Boston - July 25th) AS Roma - TBA (New York - July 28th)
Hopefully they come to So Cal. I'd drive to LA (Rose Bowl if they're a part of a tournament) or Home Depot Center to see them.
That'd set up a match against Real Madrid for certain. So Cal is their stomping ground the past few pre-seasons.
Seriously!!!! We could get 50,000 in the Rogers Centre, no? Actually, didn't Juve only get a 25,000 a couple years ago.
THIS!!! It has been too long since Roma has come to Toronto. I was at the game in 2004 and it was packed in the Skydome. We just need a big name to play against, if its Roma vs Italian team it probably wont sell out. But doing what the did last time like getting Celtic to play against will pack the place.
I'm going to Chicago! I'll be the really fit (fingers crossed) guy in the 2000/01 red Totti jersey with the newborn baby girl.
lol I woln't have a child, but I have an older shirt like you. I wish they were not so expensive. Parma tried to charge me 60 euros to ship a Giovinco jersey to New Jersey
Roma v. the right team would get a sell-out. It all depends who Herbalife or World Soccer Challenge can get on the other side. Last year that had Juventus and Sporting @ BMO. But the game was thrown together 1 month prior and the advertising was lackluster at best. Attendance was low....mostly Juve supporters, then Sportinguistas and then a bunch of bad-wishing Benfica and Porto fans. It rained too. I'd go to a Roma match in a second, BMO or Skydome.
There is no way they could ask for 60 euros to ship a jersey. Somewhere someone misunderstood something.
TBH. I've seen that figure before. Some clubs only ship internationally on 2-day shipping and charge out the butt for it.
i tried to ship a game used ball from mls cup 2011 to a friend in england. (his son's a huge beckham fan) he gave me his fed-ex number and asked me to ship it. the cheapest way possible via fed-ex was $82... seriously...
no really, Parma tried to charge me 60 euros to ship to NJ. The shirt was like 80 euros with name and number. They are snakes Whoops, I made a mistake. I redid it to see if I did it correctly, and it's actually 65 euros for shipping regular rate. The shirt was 69 so it would be almost 200 American for me to get a Giovinco shirt. Thanks Parma
