Chelsea. Again. http://www.soundersfc.com/News/Articles/2012/03-March/Friendly-and-4-Match-Ticket-Package.aspx I think we would have drawn just as well without including the Russian playthings but hey, we can make Torres jokes for the next few months!
Probably should have kept my ticket for this just so I could sell it. Oh well, at least it will give me a nice weekend in the summer to just do something else! However three full stadium matches should prove to be quite nice. If all sellout that should push us to right around 43k in average attendance.
I'm very annoyed that I can't put my tickets up on stubhub/craigslist yet. I went with the card option, so I don't physically have the friendly ticket and will, most likely, have to wait until the single game tickets go on sale in early/mid June before I can sell this ticket. *sigh* Oh well. I do like that they are opening the entire stadium for the Galaxy, Timbers, and Whitecaps games though. I wonder how many people will be in the stands for those games. Wild stab is 50k for Galaxy, 60k for Whitecaps, and sell out for Portland, with, I'm guessing, about at least 6k Timbers fans and, probably, half as much Whitecaps fans.
This makes selling my tickets to the Galaxy game much harder since I won't be in Seattle for that game, but otherwise, I'm excited for the bigger capacity.
Yoshou, does the friendly show up in your account manager? I can't remember if i opted out of the friendly or not. i don't see it in my account manager though
I just checked and it isn't listed in my account manager. I also remember from selling last year's tickets that they either didn't become visible, or I wasn't able to "Manage" them until the single game tickets went on sale.
And I'm glad I didn't get tickets to Chelsea friendly. I don't think they'll have the same cachet the second time around in terms of my interest or in terms of selling them. Why not a new team like tottenham or Arsenal? There are a lot of "glamour" teams floating around the US this summer. I'd prefer something new
Arsenal toured Asia last year and have already announced a friendly in Beijing vs Man City for this summer.
cash grab?!?! TREASON AND BETRAYAL! YOU SHOULD SUPPORT THE SOUNDERS EVERY WAY ANYHOW ANYTIME ANWHERE REGARDLESS OF WHO THEY PLAY AND WHETHER THEY ARE SHIT AND IF THEY ARE COOL OR NOT COOL!
Looks like I need to make a correction to this statement. The Friendly is now up in Account Manager and you can manage the tickets. I have now posted my two tickets for an embarrassingly high price on one of the non-TicketBastard resell sites. Let's see who bites.
Not necessarily Arsenal, but anything other than Chelsea/Barca/MU. I thought some Italian teams go here too. How about Real Madrid?
