Second road game of the season. Marsch will probably field a 4-4-2 again but i would go more for a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. Will IMFC take it home? tie or will they fall to the canarini?

MONTREAL, Quebec – The Montreal Impact will start a three-game sequence on the road as it visits the Columbus Crew this Saturday, at Crew Stadium, at 4pm (ET). The game will be broadcast live on TVA Sports and will also be available on illico Mobile.

“The guys feel confident based on how we played last game,” said Impact head coach Jesse Marsch. “There is a belief and understanding within the group that it’s coming together. We will continue to push the key ideas in training and to prepare ourselves for Columbus. The key is now to maintain the same level of commitment to training whether things go well or not and learn how to maintain the lead when we have it. We’ve been looking at different options all week to plug different guys into different positions to get ready for Saturday

A win against the hayseeds would be very satisfying. First it would leave Impact 1-1-1 after 3 games which is great. Secondly, they would have accomplished something it took TFC 4-5 yrs to do. .

Looking good so far.. especially on the counter. Columbus sure likes to embellish.

Nyassi great chance, header right in front.. needed to bounce it, I think, headed it right to the keeper. oh, if he only had finish.. ;)

Red card Montreal .. didn't I just say they like to embellish! oh no. Fortunately it was their weakest player. Brovsky... not very impressed with that guy anyway. Impact still holding their own.. even getting chances. Starting to really like Felipe's skill.. Oh man, this ref is harsh.. Called a penalty.. WASN'T. and a yellow!.. a bad ref is deciding this sadly. Bad or biased..

Some of the worst refereeing I have ever seen. Red card was not a red card (a yellow would have been the right decision) and penalty was not a penalty. This man should have his license revoked. Terrible, just terrible.

Well Brovsky going up for a challenge with his arm up is bad judgement because whether his elbow touched that Mirosevic the Flopper (don't think it did), it was asking for trouble because it doesn't look good. And he did it against a guy that is more on the ground this game than on his feet. But the penalty call was a bad call. I could tell early Columbus was trying to get calls.. Rentaria and this Mirosevic guy were dropping easily ... This ref played along, and was giving them calls. Opener for Columbus.. almost suspicious in a way.

I can at least draw solace from the fact that the attendance looks pretty poor.

And Ricketts looking outstanding.. really, they look good. Brovsky is pretty stupid .. why go for a challenge with his arm in the air.. dumb. Another goal .. this is a tough one.

The frustrating - or encouraging - thing is that despite being down a man for 70 minutes, down 2 goals, on the road, they've never really looked out of this game or like they're just trying to avoid getting shellacked. True, Ricketts has pulled out a couple sensational stops, but still, they have kept attacking with some purpose. In fact, the Impact has created more than their share of quality chances even after the sending off: that speculative Mapp shot off the bar, Braun's drive early in the second, Ferrari from the corner, Corradi one on one with the keeper. What they really, really need to do is start taking some of these chances.

Have you been reffing very long? Maybe you've seen some other leagues where an elbow to the head is a red card? He led with his elbow, it's a red card, you don't know what you're talking about.

You got it. depends the POV 1/2 empty or 1/2 full...bottom line though no points. Would have been great to see how they would have done 11vs11. Sums up the game and chances we had. And most def. corradi had to bury that one.

Hey guy's. Yeah I am a Columbus supporter but doesn't mean I don't see both sides of the match. As for the red card, I have watched it over and over again. He did connect with Milo, but even if he didn't in almost any league they are going to call the red card cause he lead with his elbow up! As for the PK, I didn't think it was either at first, but the ref said that yes the defender got the ball first but that Renteria regained control and then the follow through caused renteria to trip up. Either way, head up for your boy's cause you guy's were still in the match after the card, and pk for a long time. As for attendance, it's unfortunate for us cause we live in a college american football town its hard sometimes to pull people in. There was a little over 18,000 at the game that game, which is good for us cause we only fit about 22,500 in the stadium. At least the Nordecke was full. Other than that, I just want to say pure class to the Montreal supporters that came down. Good guy's from what I heard! Glad to see your supporters aren't douchebags like "Terrible FC" and think people they deserve better and people should respect them right from the start. I hate Chicago way more then them, but they are just annoying!

I think your Mirosevic is going to get alot of players carded, he drops very easily and likes to embellish. Both Mirosevic and Renteria were dropping easily, and what do you know, both eventually got calls. But ya, Brovsky was stupid.

Late in the game one of our players was elbowed in the face going up for the ball and nothing was called. But he didn't go into a command performance about it. Can't remember the players involved. I think the officiating was one-sided...

Yeah, I didn't catch your player getting elbowed. I will have to go back through and check it out. If you ever watch Renteria he is a very fast, and physical player but sometimes is to fast or physical for his own good. It causes him to go down easily sometimes. I think we can agree to disagree. I believe it was a penalty. As for the elbow according to the rules it's a straight red, but I have seen alot of MLS ref's give a yellow for it instead. Welcome to the MLS alot of the ref's are not consistent or make bad calls. It's a problem in the league that doesn't seem to ever get fixed! Also believe me, you will see real quick if it's one team that the league seem's to hate and never gives us calls in the game it's Columbus. It seems the refs and league dislike us big time, so its weird for us to get call's going our way that match!

    Renteria didn't regain control.

Ball was tackled first, and everything was clean after that.

Either way, glad to see if we didn't face such a bitch ref we would have won.
