They are saying his report says it's for the ironic clapping due to Ramos red card. I think that's harsh, but I don't know what the refs have been told by the federation. For me a YC would suffice if that's the case. I did see him clapping at the ref as he walked off the pitch. But the TV camera was focusing on Ramos when Ozil got the red. I really expected Ozil to have said something bad to the ref.

I am honestly surprised at how psychological fragile Madrid have shown to be. After the draw in the weekend they seemed calm saying dropping a couple of points was normal.

A ref that called the game bad both ways, a free kick goal and 2 more points dropped and they crumbled like a castle made of cards.

It's clear they are feeling the pressure to win something this year.

I went to bed shortly after Bayern won on penalties. I guess I missed out on something, huh? :)
I haven't watched them play in a while. After I'm done watching the games I'm interested in I go to bed and wake up hoping to hear good news. Haven't been disappointed the last few days. :D
So who's their next opponent? Bah, nevermind, doesn't matter. ;)

I was hopeful about our liga title about a week ago, but i never counted on Malaga and Villarreal to take points against LPB. I was counting on Atletico, Athletic and Valencia to take points against them.

I think if we win our all remaining games(including el clasico) we will win the league. I have been saying from long ago that they have peaked way before and they will struggle in the later stages. The best thing for us is that there toughest game of the seasons are scheduled in the later stages. There is no way LPB will every points until they meet us.

I just hope our boys don't start relaxing after going up 2 goals now. Just finish the game and win them and we will be the Champions and this team will equal dream team's achievment.

You are completely missing the point here. Ronaldo's goal yesterday proved only one thing and that is how difficult it is to score such goals. Messi has scored such goals 150 times doesn't mean that it is easier to score in such a way. Messi lobs the ball over the keeper as he is tapping the ball, this doesn't mean it's easy to score chip goals.

I give you a suggestion: whenever Messi scores a goal, just ask yourself how many such goals have you seen other players score? You will get your answer there.

About goals from35-40 m away, again try to remember how many players have scored such goals.

Ronaldo for the first time scored a goal yesterday which looked like 150 of goals Messi has scored, which really shows how difficult it is to score such goals.

Guys, there is NO POINT even trying to argue with Mysterious. I said it in the other thread, it is like trying to convince a teenage girl The Godfather is better than Twilight lol. The blind love will not let it happen.
You can write about 300,000 words here Mysterious, fact is the rest of the world won't give a crap what you say, they will see the results, and the results are 24 year old record breaker, argued to be best in the history. As the old internet saying goes, haters gonna hate.

As great as messi is, he can't be considered the best in history until he wins a world cup with his team...

    Same goes for ronaldo..

That's a big monkey on their back. They can be lengendary on club level, but what about international level and the holy cup?

Not hating here, but that's something that's always going to be mentioned about them two a 100 hundred years from now..

I don't think Messi needs to win a world cup to be considered the best ever. What he needs to do is to dominante the world cup and play as good as he does for Barca.

If Messi carries this club form for another 4-5 years and he dominates two world cups without winning it he will be considered the best ever.

His criticism is not playing as good in NT as he does in Barca shirt. Not winning is not a matter here but to perform at a great level is.

But as things are going now, i will not be surprised at all if he actually wins the WC. I feel it's bound to happen in Brazil.

Blimey, sent off 11 times during his Real Madrid career and he's still only 25. Wow, by the time he hit's 30 he could be close to 30 sendings off, I think we shoult all step back and applaud him, well done.

True I don't think a player of that magnitude has to actually win a world cup as long as they dominate it..

For example johann cruyff is considered one of the legends of all time, has 3 champions league cups in a row and was the ultimate player of 1974 who took them to the finals and lost...

As far as messi winning with Argentina I just don't see that happening with this argentine team, honestly south american teams have been on the decline since 2002 at world cups. Europe will dominate for the next 12 years I think...

Especially spain and Germany and holland in the mix too..

I think you are wrong. I will just say 4 out of the 8 teams in the QF's in the last World Cup came from South America. Only Uruguay escaped to move on. South American teams have gotten much better in the last 7-10 years, it's no more just Argentina and Brazil who dominate the region. There could be up to 6 teams in Brasil representing CONMEBOL. If Colombia(sleeper, darkhorse or whatever they call it) make it under their new coach, they could be a force.

Every single time a South American team came up against a Euro team in the knockout stages in 08, the South American team was sent home. That's not a good record.

Nope, not a good record, I agree. However, every single South American side came out of the first round 1st or tied for first(Spain was ahead on goals vs Chile). Jus stumbled after round of 16.

I guess we will have to wait and see what happens in Brazil I guess.

True, but you also have to take into account that they only played the 3 best UEFA nations (and there was a noticeable gap between those 3 and the rest of UEFA back then... there still is). It really is a cherry-picked, quirky fact. There's no logical reason to ignore the results from the group-stage which involved all 13 qualified UEFA teams, not just the best 3.
