Internacional was just too much. Strongest needs to win their remaining home game and try to get some points in peru cause we all know that game in Santos might be a repeat

I wasn't able to see the game, am not one to enjoy punishment so ill pass. One thing that kind of told me it was going this way was the starting line up. Soria had 5 legit defenders when he included Marchesini so there wasn't many options to apply pressure. Nothing wrong with playing defensive, but once you give up early goals, game over. Tigre still has a good shot, Let's hope they get 3 points at home and get one in Peru.

When you go in ready to be murdered(5 defenders), you WILL be killed. (te comes 5)

    When will bolivians learn??!!!!! Sad....

Wow, just read the Strongest coach just quit. What horrible timing, I know they weren't doing too well in la liga but they're still in great position to advance in Libertadores. From the outside looking in this looks like a terrible decision, they're gonna get their asses handed to them in Libertadores now.

Any tigre fans want to give us the 411 on what went down and what you think of the decision.

Last I heard he agreed to stay on thru the next Libertadores game. He had been making noise about stepping down. I'll check the Ultra's sites and see if I can get better info.

This guy Soria is one selfish mf. He knew he was going to quit after the 5-0 ass kicking, from what I read he didn't even fly with the team back to La Paz , he stayed in Cochabamba. He should have quit then, and give the next guy a chance to prepare the team. I hope they don't get embarrassed.

I disagree with nano, los diregentes del tigre have been talking behinde his back ever since last years tournament. Before el tigre made that final push to win the title in the playoffs. I don't blame everything on los diregentes because Soria has made some dumb ass calls like signing that 37 year old Chamsuck. But Soria has been lucky and the boys have pulled together as a team. The only ones who suffer are the fans.. :(

I went to school with him and I can tell you he is the real deal. The guy breathes futbol, but he never took crap from anyone.
These guys at Strongest like a yesman and Soria is not like that. Remember that every team he has taken every team he coached to the championship.

I don't question the guy as a manager, and I do like the fact that he doesn't take crap. What I do question is his timing. The players pulled for him, at the very least they deserve clarity, and straightforwardness from him. If the cituation with the suits was going down the drain he could have bailed at a better time.

Until we know for sure what goes on behind doors, we should hold our judgement. All I can tell you is that he is not that kind of person.
In a league where dirigentes have been known to get a cut of his salary to support a coach, anything could and will happen.

Or did we all forget the poster child, Mauro Cuellar?;)

Bolivar played a beautiful first half. The second was different story. It seems like the guys get complacent with the lead and then play like $h1t. I dont get it. Hoyos on the sidelines screaming his lungs out while players just pranced around. Good win, with one more win we def move on.

IMO, they fell asleep at the wheel in one moment, and that costed them big. Their CM's lost the ball and that Ruiz guy (good player) gave a good hard shot from the room they were gicing him expecting a pass.

Good win although in the 2nd half, it was another story. Our mids got gassed and we started playing the long ball which forces us to give up the ball up and play more defensively.

Ferriera gets to nervous when he has a scoring opportunity which affects his placing of the shot. could have been at least 3-1

Yeah tough break for the tigres. Two away games remain, not looking good. They're gonna have to win against Juan Aurich and then get a tie against Santos. When's the last time something like that happened.

Para mi, animicamente estan terminados. Goleado contra Inter, renuncia su tecnnico, no pueden ganar en La Paz, y necesitan resultados en los dos partidos de visitante que quedan? Done.

Bolivar is having a much better campaign but at least Strongest can hang their hat on having a much better barra.

All Bolivar need to do is win against U Catolica in La Paz and that is only needed if the Chileans win their next two games. Can't ask for better than that.

Meanwhile, Strongest needs to win in Peru and hope Santos beat Internacional.

Forget La Paz, that's a losers mentality, they need to get the win in Chile against Union.

What's up with Santos possibly losing points because they played an ineligible player against Juan Aurich. Anyone know anything?

edit: how did you guys (Chico, Fuego, Marco) get your avatars to be so large. My original pic is large enough but it doesn't show up very large. I'm having avatar-envy over here.

Last night was horrible, I can't blame anybody but the diregentes; they brought horrible players to compliment the team. We should of gotten rid of chamagol and kept addles we should of gotten a center back too we are done out of the libertadores. We have to go play in brazil a smart game we can't go and bring back another goliada. I hope they fix Villegas contract and they stop with this two month bullshit!!!!! Villages has a good eye for players he brought Marcos Barrera to wilsterman and Jefferson lopez to la U and let's not forget Agurre that ball headed center defender he was a beast.

    That he does!
Martin Aguirre the player you're talking about, ex la u, now plays in Colombia, he played for Deportivo Pereira last season impressed and got signed by Independiente Santa Fe. He is currently teammates with our own Diego Cabrera

All in all i think Villegas is a good coach, he has a good eye for players and for making substitutions during a match. He's a good coach.
