...and, he's playing in their reserve match tonight, where he's already scored a goal. Someone please takeaway the sharp objects.
But you see, we're not going to be outworked, outsmarted... Even I wouldn't stoop that low. I'd save the eggs, poach them in Salsa, then serve them over Texas Toast...
CCL Quarterfinals second leg takes place tonight ... Seattle takes a 2-1 lead down to Mexico against Dirty Sanchez and Santos Laguna, and LA hosts Toronto with a 2-2 score. Both games on FSC, Seattle at 8, LA at 10.
Going into the second half, I had a little bit of hope for Seattle and even giving up a goal in the 49th only made it 4-3 on aggregate. But three goals in thirteen minutes after that, Seattle just fell apart.
Toronto up 1-0 on L.A. at the half. TFC took charge for about the last 15 minutes. Honestly, given the half-hearted showing of Galaxy fans in this game, I'm hoping TFC takes this one.
The reason the crowd is so small is because the Galaxy have an agreement with Cal Stat Dominguez Hills that they won't have more than 7,500 attend a midweek match. They share parking and apparently large weeknight crowds affects the students who take night classes at the university. I personally want to see LA win this thing. They're the only MLS team with a shot of beating Santos.
I did not know that about the Cal State deal. Sounds like L.A. needs a new stadium. I agree the Galaxy is probably the only team that can get past Santos, but that's on paper. If L.A. has to strangle off its attendance and TFC gets to play in front of 50k screaming Canadians, that changes the metrics a bit. Anyway, L.A.'s down 2-1 at 84 minutes and Chad Barrett just came in.
Quick observation about L.A. (this being the 3rd real game I've watched them in this season): Omar Gonzalez is a massive loss for this team.
The announcers were abysmal last night. I did love the "Dunfield's just been sitting there and balls have come to him all night." I giggled.
