Pele is a company man isn't he, that is why Blatter and FIFA love him, they know Diego will never tow the company line so they wheel out the old man of Brazil at every opportunity.
Lets see if he can set a new record The highest CL top scorer in one season (The old tournament format included) is Jose Alfatini with 14 goals. Messi at very least has 2 games to play. Messi scoring ratio in last 5 seasons 0.4 0.74 0.88 0.96 1.14
Not only is he breaking all CL records, but he is going to be Barca's all time top scorer at the age of 24, it's just astonishing.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/...hletic-bilbao-manchester-united?newsfeed=true He's working his magic again. Menotti and Bielsa. Did they go to the same school of coaching ?
Pele is a bitter old man, who fabricated everything. He seriously counted his worthless goals. I wonder if he counts the goals he scored in the Stallone movie. Garrincha, that should be the real idol. Yeah, I posted that article yesterday. And Bielsa went into United today and won. He is truly a magician. I have said it before, if Real Madrid go and get Bielsa, they will be very scary. But I am not sure if he wants a move like that. I would not mind seeing his side win the Copa del Rey.
He'll be 36 next WC, time to move on. It's a shame that Samuel's career in the NT was wasted after 2004.
I still don't get why Samuel was marginalised in South Africa. Picked up a little injury, recovered and never played again.
I watched Roma-Palermo today and I have to say Gago and Lamela were good. Lamela had an assist for the only of the game. Gago was solid in holding his position, nice passes, moves and plays. I will be honest, it was kind of nice seeing Gringo play. Haven't seen him in sometime. And well, he wasn't too bad. What I loved to see was his temper which he was going to lose his head, good old Heinze. I also saw a bit of Munoz on the Palermo side, again not too bad. Personally I am happy Lamela has caught the eye of Sabella, lets hope he can play him down the road. Coco is really talented and has something special.
I was kidding, whenever anyone has a good game sometimes people start touting them for the NT. But I've always been a Samuel fan and thought his exclusion in 2006 was ridiculous. He should have gone instead of coloccini in '06, and frankly Colo and he should have been the CB duo in '10. But that is ancient history...
Munoz is a joke, he is slow and players thrash him on 1-1, Lamela yesterday made a joke out of him, Milito also celebrated over him last year. I don't think he will be a NT level in his career. Musacchio indeed is a good prospect.
Would be nice, but right now I'm just hoping he stays healthy for Boca. Lets wait and see how he's doing in a couple of months.
Does Messi do anything at either Barcelona or the national team to make him worth a call? Like with Pastore back then I'm possitively surprised about Lamela's progress.

Yes, I think Europeans and Italians will think I'm nuts for saying so, but from a footballing level last year at River grew all of those kids up very very quickly. As Anto from "Off the Pitch" stated on his podcast, that was a meat grinder compared to his present situation. Socially and culturally, the number of Argentinos on Roma and in Rome generally had to have helped with the transition. He's just starting to flourish there, very excited for him. And excited for you Andres, big big win for El Rojo anoche.
Around that time I believe he was just starting to rehab from a pretty serious injury. He had barely played if at all at the club level leading up to that WC.
