If he was 1 meter onside in non dynamic situation you'd call that a bad luck
This time it wasn't that important as Tokyo won the game. But consider that if they drew this game they could miss 2 points and be relegated after the season ends.

Doesn't change my stance at all. Call it a big mistake. But if the referee is honest, you can't use a connoted word like "robbery", it leads to degenerate and paranoid football coverage. Let's just hope he'll do better next time.

Let's just hope he'll get some time to catch his breath in lower leagues. Because I really don't know how bad one must be positioned to qualify that as an offside.
    You mean Lucas, right?

    I think you are mistaken.

It was Tokushige. I dont believe that Kamita is even in the first team.

Ah, yes I was apparently. I heard Kamita's name in a video report on the game done by english commentators......How they got Kamita mixed in there I don't know.

Great first J1 goal for Saito.
Also, Hashimoto from Reysol is definitely a national team level player, should get a look when Nagatomo is not fit.

What a game to end this 1st round. Impressed by Marinos.

Also congrats to Saito, him and Ono will cause lots of problems to opponents

The ref tried his best to ruin the game with a plethora of missed calls and questionable decisions, but the two teams were value for money. Great game.

I think Oguro's goal definitely went in, other than that pretty much everything else was questionable but I understand your frustration, sometimes he let the game run too much even though Kashiwa were putting their cleats up.

The goal aside (which is more the linesman) Kashiwa were climbing all over our strikers everytime we pushed the ball high from the defence, not one single call. There was also the yellow card to I believe Ogura following two highly reckless challenges not called against Kashiwa. Ono didn't endear himself with the stupid diving. Frustrating is a very accurate word.

On the Oguro shot, I think it was a lot more marginal than some of the other things that were missed. When you see videos like the QPR-Bolton one you start to be a bit less critical of a goal-line bounce like that one. However, the play that earned Kobayashi a yellow was a absolutely ridiculous. Three tussles ins the space of 5 seconds, that obviously demanded a whistle just to calm things down, and he just stands there . . . . so naturally Kobayashi goes in and puts an end to the play the way any good defender would when his star teammates are getting mugged, and HE gets the yellow.

My biggest problem with J.League refs is not that they miss so many calls. Thats just human frailty. What bugs me the most is that the refs have such complete disregard for human nature and their own impact on the game.

A good ref is one who seems invisible most of the time, and whose most visible actions are ones aimed at cooling tempers, keeping things in control and ensuring the match proceeds at a normal pace. J.League refs seem to DELIBERATELY try to stoke tempers higher, and interrupt the flow of play, with silly calls like "no - the ball was six inches to the right. Take the kick again". And in cases like the Kobayashi yellow, instead of trying to cool things down and saying "look the previous challenges were nasty but Yokohama still had the ball and I was trying to play on....", instead he just glares at the players with a frown on his face and doesnt say a single word. That just makes the situation MORE tense and annoying.

The J.League really has to re-educate its officials. Just when you think they cant possibly get any worse . . . . they do.

I agree Matsu that totally summed up my feeling after this and other games I've watched. The quality of play totally outclasses the level of officiating. Thanks for the correction on the yellow, I was trying not to scream at the time as it was about 1am here :D and missed who was booked. Just to add I think the ball hit the line dead on, tough to call.

Guys can someone translate Kakitani part for me:

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1SfTfVQayA"]CO044?????????????????!! - YouTube[/ame]

I just can't get all of it

    He is like:

    Eee konnichiha
    etoooo
    Kakitani Yoichiro desu...
Kotoshi ha taitoru wo..... ganbari taito omoimasu......
    Yoroshiku onegaishimasu

So basically like I am Yoishiro Kakitani and this year title.... will do my best
    (take care of me phrase)

So basically what does he say in the middle also the subtitles probably are not exactly correct.

    His part starts at 1:50

If you could help I would appreciate it

hayashi had a great game and has carried on his good form from the end of last year.
He is solid, but alot has to do with the defensive line that hes behind!;)

Good start for Sendai for 2012. very reminisent of 2011. The question is though, can they play as good away from home like they did last year???
