Re: Ben Lederman at La Masia Number 10 in the highlights and the last kid interviewed: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZIyWE8WzFA"]Ben Lederman FC Barcelona Feb. 2012 - YouTube[/ame]
Re: Ben Lederman at La Masia OMG, they gave him NUMBER TEN!!! That's MESSI'S number! We have to CAP HIM!!!! (Seriously, I know these kids are very young, but what this kid is doing is really cool. Fingers crossed.)
Re: Ben Lederman at La Masia Nice to see an American being involved heavily in most of the goals in that highlight film. Nice at any level, even u12. Hopefully he will continue to move up in their system. Btw, is he still with the top team for his age. Because if he is, being what seems to be the key player from limited highlights is even more impressive considering he started with the C team.
Re: Ben Lederman at La Masia #areyouevenwatching Lots of developments to be made, namely in goal celebrations. I'm also worried that they don't bleed for the club, and will move as soon as a better lunchbox is offered btw, someone has to make sure he doesn't lose his americaness over there!
Re: Ben Lederman at La Masia Good to see he is already doing pretty well with spanish as well, his little interview at the end is pretty funny.
Re: Ben Lederman at La Masia some one help here.. but didn't lederman play for an LA area team that either beat or played Barcelona to a very close match before moving over there.
Re: Ben Lederman at La Masia Yea, he played for the barca team in so cal and they went over to spain and beat the real barca 3-1 or something like that. The scouts really liked ben so they asked him back.
Re: Ben Lederman at La Masia I dont think they beat the team he is on now though. When he first arrived, Ben was with the C team for his age group. He moved his way up to A.
Re: Ben Lederman at La Masia Yeah. Jokes aside, I know exactly what you mean. It's hard to see him wearing that number 10 and not feel at least a slight twinge of excitement, as much as you may try to fight it...
Re: Ben Lederman at La Masia yes they did beat barca ,but isnt he playing and learning in the best place in world?
Re: Ben Lederman at La Masia Regarding Ben's games with the Alevín A, can you tell us the dimensions of the field (approximately) and how many players are on each team for them?
Re: Ben Lederman at La Masia they are playing 7v7 and it the last tear for futbal 7 .the size is 1/3 of the reg field and the boys need to move the ball quick
Re: Ben Lederman at La Masia the major developmental changes that will transform this potentially great futbol nation are #1 we concentrate on young age groups playing and developing the right way and clubs getting compensated for developing talent pickup by pro academies. having 10-13yr olds on adult size fields with adult size goals 11v11 is ludicrous. usually its a gradual process of 3v3, 5v5, 7v7 and some even 9v9 before u get to adult level. the key is technique under pressure. that's why I have my son focus on practice practice practice with small sided games and 7v7 league which will continue till he is 14 then transition at 14. Let's be honest the only reason the clubs don't like that bc smaller roster sizes means less revenue and not enuf coaches to have multiple teams at those age levels.
