You know, It's pretty sad when this thread seems to have the most activity.

Well mathematically, 18 teams are going to do more than 1 ... so having more posts here isn't surprising. The sad part is that our 1 has done little.

I believe he's their second DP, along with Hassli. They released Jarju earlier this offseason.

But, hey...we've got a DP now! And a real one!! The Revs are MLS 2.0 now!! (Too bad LAG, Seattle, and RSL are in MLS 4.7)

Not only has he performed well this preaseason, but he's got a good resume. I view this signing as the rich man's Sene.

I have been extremely impressed with what Martin Rennie has put together in Van so far. Most improved team in 2012.

    Re: Bocanegra to Vancouver?

Because there's an order that returning USMNT pool players are allocated to teams, and Vancouver is one spot ahead of the Revs.

Very interesting, anyone know how he's performed for the Boro this year? Because it was my understanding he'd been underperforming in all his previous years there and his glory days at Celtic were long behind him.

    Re: Bocanegra to Vancouver?

Yeah, for all the talk that "a DP spot would trump the USMNT allocation order," it hasn't actually happened yet. I think it's just something someone made up.

Bocanegra is one of my favorite players, but in MLS I think it's better off that teams go young at that position. Vancouver got burned by DeMerit being out more than half the year last year, I'm surprised they're going to try again, even though Bocanegra is more durable than DeMerit.

Mods - can you merge this thread? - I didn't see the 'Returning USMNT...' thread.

We would have if we didn't get that stupid point in Toronto.

That point also cost us Darren Mattocks.

    Way to go, Revs.
