That's terrible. A 2nd division Finish team? That's not up to par to El Salvador's league. What happened to the Whitecaps and supposedly the Rapids wanting him?

Its one of those yo-yo teams so hopefully he is in 1st division soon if he goes. I don't think that is a bad league for one of our defenders it will force him to learn to mark guys that rely on their physical abilities. Personally I would imagine defensively at least 2nd division Finish teams are better then our clubs. Its a miracle we have Turcios coaches in El Salvador just don't know how to develop defenders properly. They have improved in developing attacking players but there is a reason Pacheco is still our best LB and its because the few good defenders we have happen by accident so there is never anyone there to provide depth.

Turcios is young so this could be a good club for him for the moment. It will probably be easier for him to be scouted by a bigger European league there then the MLS. The MLS is only good for our players if thats as far as they want to go (or if they can get Alvarez's agent who somehow got him into Portugal after the debacle in RSL).

For anyone wondering why Dustin isn't being called in Gochez explains it pretty clearly in the audio recording. I have seen Dustin interviewed about this and when they tell him why he is being left out he just acts like he doesn't know what is going on. It makes sense not to call him in yet maybe the next set of coaches will work better with him and it will be like Cheyo.

Arturo and his team Pacos play an important game today against CD Feirense at 4pm Portugal time.

Feirense sit above Pacos on goal difference. With a win today Pacos can surpass Feirense and Rio Ave and move as high as 11th place in the table.

Burgos scored the game winning goal for Petapa today against Municipal. Cheyo should have scored the equalizer.

It's saddening when everyone has an opinion about dustin when nobody says anything about..cheyo when he's a drunk ..or cristian castillo when he's a drunk...NOR ..a couple other players..everyone hails them..he may play in the second division team...in denmark...the u.s ...holland..shit even the phillipines..but our players are ALWAYS enclosed to the GRAND local league..that is for at best...pick up games..lets be honest..he is alot better..alot more talented than some of these kids we have playing forwards..better than bautista..faster than zelaya...NOT BETTER THAN HIM THOUGH..and maybe equal to lester blanco.. LETS BE HONEST..he carried the sub 20 through costa rica..and in one of those games he came off the bench...nobody had anything to say about him then..but now everyone does..laughable

What is laughable is that you think our league is no better then pickup games or the Phillippines. Metapan beat the Honduran champion in Honduras, as well as the Puerto Rico Islanders, teams from Guatemala and a fairly talented Santos reserve team. Firpo which is the other club that several of our national team players play in has also done well when they play internationally and could do so again. For all of the leagues problems it is still not some amateur league. Our league provides players the opportunities to face other men that get paid to play for a living on a regular basis which is why a player like Andres Flores can get picked up in the Danish 2nd division as well straight from our league.

As far as Dustin he did well against Costa Rica's U20 but has been below average on a second division Danish team that will soon be playing in the 3rd division. At this point he still just a promising player that people rarely watch play. I remember before he even signed with Blokhus people wanted him on the gold cup team.

Castillo, Cheyo and others have been criticized heavily for their poor attitudes in the past. Castillo's poor attitude is what is keeping him out of the national team. There have been times it made sense to leave Cheyo off the national team like after he faked an injury to get out of games but after serving his punishment he said he wanted to play for the National team again and make it a priority. If Dustin can resolve his problems with the coaches then he should be called back but for now he doesn't own up to his mistakes and says our national team isn't a priority for him so what are we supposed to do? Do you suggest we just ignore how he treated the coaches and beg him to make us a priority? If Dustin wants to play for us then he has to do his part as well which is at minimum wanting to play for us that isn't to much to ask of a national team player.

No I just stated Metapan beat Real Espana in Honduras as proof that our national team players aren't playing at the level of some rec team. Honduras as a league is better then ours which is why I used that game as an example.

We all have our opinions on Dustin. I hope everything gets resolved with him and our fed.

And Metapan has been kicking ass lately. Not jus in E.S. But all over central America. Let's hope they can keep the momentum going for champions league.

In other news... Jaime Alas played a preseason game with San Jose of MLS. Jaime played the second half. They drew 2-2 against the Houston Dynamo. Jaime is with the team until Friday he will then be back in E.S with Firpo. San Jose have the option of signing him.

Your league isn't much better than El Salvadors by any means. Don't get that twisted. Metapan is the best in Central America, that's the only point he was trying to make.

    *****************

Metapan beat the Honduran champion in Honduras, as well as the Puerto Rico Islanders, teams from Guatemala and a fairly talented Santos reserve team. YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THE BEHAVIOR THEY HAD ON THE FIELD AGAINST A SANTOS SQUAD IN MEXICO ...DIDNT BLOW OUT THE FACT THAT THEY DID WELL AGAINST A "FAIRLY" TALENTED RESERVE TEAM..BECAUSE IF WE APPLAUSE MEDIOCRE PERFORMANCE THEN WE CANT DISCUSS THAT..BECAUSE I WONT ACCEPT ANYTHING LESS THAN WHAT IS CAPABLE BY OUR PLAYERS...

For all of the leagues problems it is still not some amateur league. Our league provides players the opportunities to face other men that get paid to play for a living on a regular basis .. I WILL TELL YOU THIS..THESE MEN THAT PLAY AND GET PAID..WHEN THEY COME ON VACATION ..TO THE U.S WORK CONSTRUCTION...OR EVEN GET PAID TO PLAY IN LOCAL TEAMS..100 OR 300 A GAME..NOW TELL ME DO YOU THINK THAT'S RIGHT?? OUR OWN FEDERATION CANT TAKE CARE OF OUR PLAYERS AS THEY SHOULD..I TELL YOU THIS FROM CLOSE INTERACTION WITH A STAR PLAYER OF OUR SELECTA.. THEY DONT GET PAID WELL AT ALL..WHICH IS WHY OUR PLAYERS SHOULD GO ELSEWHERE TO BETTER THEMSELVES ..MENTALLY..PHYSICALLY AND EXPAND HORIZONS AS PLAYERS...WHICH IS WHY ITS GOOD THAT DUSTIN DECIDED TO LEAVE...HE HAS NO BUSINESS LOWERING HIS STANDARDS (AS HIGH AS THEY MAY BE AT TIMES) TO OUR LEAGUE..THEYLL END UP HURTING HIM...OR PICKING UP BAD HABITS..EITHER OR..AND WILL CERTAINLY NOT HAVE THE CORRECT WORKING ENVIRONMENT..IN EL SALVADOR..

As far as Dustin he did well against Costa Rica's U20 but has been below average on a second division Danish team that will soon be playing in the 3rd division. At this point he still just a promising player that people rarely watch play. I remember before he even signed with Blokhus people wanted him on the gold cup team. A SECOND DIVISON DANISH TEAM..HAS BETTER FITNESS..WORKING CONDITIONS...MORE DISCIPLINE THAN HALF OF THE TEAMS IN EL SALVADOR..WE ARE NOT FIT AND JUST BARELY HAVE A FEW MEASLY SYNTHETIC FIELDS...THE LOCAL PARK HAS THOSE...THEY DONT EVEN HAVE INDOOR FACILITIES...TO WORK IN...AND U MEAN TO TELL ME...HE'S JUST A PROMISING PLAYER..IM HOPING THATS YOU'RE OPINION...KID IS GOOD..AS I SAID..THE ONLY FORWARD BETTER THAN HIM IS ZELAYA IN MY VIEW..AND AT THE END OF THE DAY HE'S 19....HE NEEDS TO BE MOLDED..IT SEEMS FESFUT IS MORE WORRIED BOUT...SHOWING AND IMPOSING WHO''S BOSS..INSTEAD..OF HELPING HIM...LETS ALSO NOT FORGET HE'S OF A DYING BREED OF PLAYERS WE DONT HAVE IN EL SALVADOR AND THATS FORWARDS...

I HAVE PERSONALLY WITH MY OWN TWO EYES..SEEN CHEYO ABOUT TO F*CK A FEMALE THE NIGHT BEFORE A GAME HERE IN L.A INSTEAD OF GETTING REST...HE IS GETTING HIS JOLLIES OFF..WHAT LEVEL OF DISCIPLINE IS THAT...??? HIS PERSONAL LIFE BUT DONT WE URGE OUR PLAYERS TO BLEED FOR OUR TEAM?? TELL ME..WAS THAT OUT OF GAIN FOR HIM OR THE SQUAD?? CASTILLO IS A STELLAR ATHLETE TO ME..HE JUST ENJOYS THE NIGHTLIFE...A LITTLE TO MUCH...ITS SAD OUR PLAYERS ARE CRIPPLED BY THIS LACK OF DISCIPLINE ...IT HURTS US AS A WHOLE....I ALSO SOMETIMES WONDER IF FESFUT PLAYS FAVORITISM ...NEVER HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT CHEYO BEING CAUGHT FOR DOPING DURING HIS STINT IN COSTA RICA....GUESS WE'LL JUST SWEEP THAT ONE UNDER THE RUG...MEDIOCRASY HAS BEEN ACCEPTED FAR TO LONG...BY OUR STELLAR ATHLETES..AND THEY ARE SWEATING THE 19 YEAR OLD KID..?? AS I SAID LAUGHABLE..

No it didn't everyone in CONCACAF struggles in Mexico in case you haven't been paying attention Mexican teams budgets for their reserve and 2nd division teams blow Metapan out of the water. Resources matter and as long as Salvadorian football fans have your attitude our club teams will never have the resources to compete in Mexico because even when they do things right like Metapan is doing you belittle them. The progress Metapan has made in less then a year doesn't get erased because of how they play in Mexico. Losing to Mexican squads doesn't mean the players don't try or put in a mediocre performance there are a lot of reasons why our clubs can't get results in Mexico effort isn't one of them for Metapan. The MLS champion couldn't beat Santos reserve team the Mexican squads are above everyone in the region by far. How do you think a team from the Philippines or your pick up game would have done against Santos? It sounds like you are the type of fan that thinks everything in El Salvador is inferior regardless of what the real facts are.

I am very familiar with the problems in our football and I am all for our players playing abroad but to say our players are no better then pick up game players is inaccurate to say the least. As far as Dustin its clear he has worse habits then some of the guys in our league but I guess since he is abroad he gets a pass from you and you will only call out players in El Salvador?

Its not my opinion since this is a sport we can measure a players production especially if he is a striker and Dustin hasn't even been playing much for a really weak 2nd division Danish team. Do you even follow his stats or is this all based on his performance against Costa Rica's U20 squad that wasn't filled with the top defenders in Costa Rica. If Dustin is having trouble scoring against 2nd Division Danish teams then he will also have trouble scoring against Costa Rica and Mexico's top defenders which are better then the defenders he is facing now. Don't over hype the kid he should still have to earn praise like every other player in the world.

Personally I don't care what Cheyo does in his own time so long as he performs on the field and doesn't disrespect our national team. However if Cheyo heads back down the path of not being prepared for the games then he will be off the national team as Castillo is. It kind of gets to the point I am making about Dustin don't just hand them a spot on the national team make them earn it. In Dustin's case that is as easy as a phone call to clear things up but he isn't even willing to do that much so again what do you suggest that we do beg him to care about the national team?

Are you Dustin in disguise? Corea is NOT better than ANYONE on the National Team. He's a lot better than some of the younger guys in the u-20. Hell, probably the best but that doesn't mean he should play for the mens full side. He's not ready. Back when Cheyo was acting out he played because we had no other option. He then grew up and changed and calling him a drunk is stupid and unfair. Castillo on the other hand started to get full of himself and is now paying the price. What Cheyo does before a game hasn't prevented him from playing well. HE still shows up and gives his all and bleeds for the country. What he does in LA for a damn friendly isn't that big of a deal. NAME A COUNTRY THAT THEIR PLAYERS DON'T GO OUT AND PARTY OR THEY ALL STAY IN. NAME IT. YOU CAN'T. IT HAPPENS. Magico did it and he's still a legend. If you party we can't judge them its' what they do on the pitch. The players we have break their back for our national team and the ones that don't are gone. SIMPLE. Maybe you should realize that Dustin is basically using El Salvador a second option and start begging him to play for USA. We were here before him and we will be here without. He have quality youngsters coming through and we don't need little insecure people like you downgrading our players and country. If you don't like it, GO OVER THERE AND TRY AND MAKE A CHANGE INSTEAD OF CRYING OVER THE INTERNET. Make a difference. Dustin is full of himself and isn't good enough for the full side. If he changes his attitude then they'll call him back. There's a reason why Israel didn't call him up to the full mens side. He said he wasn't ready and need to mature his game. Let him mature and fix his play and if he gets better and still wants to play for us then so be it.
