That was enjoyable. And I'm with usscouse, I liked how they pushed for a third goal in the last 5 minutes and basically frustrated ManU by holding the ball deep down at their end of the pitch. We've finally found something Andy Carroll is amazing at. All kidding aside, Carroll played very well in the last 20 minutes and was unlucky to not score with that header. Who can Liverpool end up with in the quarterfinals? Arsenal/Villa (P/P) Blackpool/Sheffield Wednesday (C/L1) Brighton (C) Bolton (P) Stoke (P) Crawley Town (L2) Leicester (C) Millwall/Southampton (C/C) Chelsea (P) Birmingham (C) Stevenage (L1) Norwich (P) Sunderland/Middlesbrough (P/C) Everton (P) Tottenham (P) On to the next. Potentially 8 opponents from the Premiership, I suppose most teams are hoping to draw Crawley Town.
I hope for a PL club, I'm more worried about us facing the smaller sides given our performances against them in the last couple of years.
This makes up for a lot! I didn't see the match, so I can't comment on how it all went down. But I'm very pleased with the result, especially since my boy Kuyt was the hero!
I'm very sad to find out the breaking news that Kenny (or whoever) tried to dump Carroll for Tevez. booooo. downer...
And it's a ********ing plant by Citeh to divert attention from us beating them. I think I have a candidate for my ignore list
It's bullshit on the face of it. If you don't like being told that don't post here. Go somewhere else with your hysterics.
So you admit that you posted it in the right place already? Great. Who on earth is trying to control the information - its the frikken Internet - that can't happen anymore. What I'm saying is - stop spazzing out - how about assessing the situation with even a modicum of rationality? Just a spec?
Ha. Someone besides me (or Grin) is getting grief for being "oppressive". Awesome. Crap. You really are a serious moaner, aren't you?
I just remembered that Utd are playing in the Europe League this spring haha. What a strange year it'd be if we managed to win two cup and Utd go trophy-less. Like someone said earlier, hopefully we're drawn against teams in the top half of the league from here on out.
Agreed..! Too much emotion from the "smaller" clubs and of course the supporters, and who can blame them, it's their chance to shine and to build memories. The league is a percentages game, the team with the better record over 38 games will win it. The FA Cup is one match at a time and it doesn't care how high up the ladder you are. 792 teams will play in the FA Cup this season. 392 in the first round alone.
Saw Kenny on Sky earlier when some reporter asked him if he felt letdown because people booed Evra. He thought it was incredulous that any (fool) would ask that question. Intimated that the media helped feed the storm. Then asked the reporter if he had ever played the game. Got to like the guy.
Just when you're ready to throw in the towel on both Carroll & Kuyt they link up to produce one of the most dynamic and important goals in LFC history (or at least this season!). Not quite the fevered performance of Wed's match but still, very spirited. The offense was still mired in, let's call it, "miredness", but the defense kept us in the match. Skrt & Dagger bossed Welbeck and then Chicarito and Kelly shut down Giggs. Keys to the match. And finally, we score on a CK! D'Agger makes up for giving up a Citeh goal! Scum support will point that Nani & Rooneh were absent but so were Suarez & Lucas. Stevie looked a little lead-footed but he's excused. Adam came in and did a nice job. Both Scum & Citeh are out of all competitions bar the EPL with LFC lending a helping hand to their exits.
Well it was out of order really. It seemed as if he was being abused for daring to complain about being racially abused. In a roundabout way, it made Liverpool fans look like they condone racism, and Kenny does a Wenger over the issue. Any Liverpool fan who tries to use Suarez's ban in order to make him and Liverpool FC appear the victim are silly and 'typical scousers'. I like Dalglish, and Liverpool are an OK club, but that whole thing was handled very badly. But to the game. Carroll did well considering he was pretty isolated for parts of the game, but Man Utd dominated possession without penetrating. The second half was more even, and it was a pretty good game to watch for the neutral.
It is past the point where we really care what people who buy into the FA kangaroo court think. And I would not have known what to think about the game without your expert analysis.
