Confirmed by Bruno Dos Santos, Artie's mgr on El Desempate. He's got a really good offer from a strong first div Portuguese club. Dos Santos says that Arturo is still hoping to join spanish league. He says that he will advice Arturo about joining "la liga" after some time with the portuguese club, nonetheless it is Arturo's choice to join the portuguese club or two other options he has (aside from aris salonica) As of which portuguese club has made an offer, the only hint he gave is that it is a club that always is fighting for EUROPA League
Ill post a link to the interview later on when they upload the podcast

Yeah I am starting to get the sense that a lot of the transfer rumors out there are just started by his agent to hype him up.

There ya go. You guys were right! Very good size on Punyed, hopefully he earns a spot and is convinced to pay with our national team. I'm sure his father would nudge him in our direction. Who could say no to being on a preolimpic national team and fighting for a spot on the mens team. (assuming he's quality) I think he might say yes, to be honest.

Gerson Mayen and club Montreal Impact have returned to Canada from a 10 day preseason training camp in Mexico. The Impact drew 0-0 against Chivas, won 1-0 against Estudiantes Tecos, walked over local university ITESO 7-0 and battled for a 1-1 tie against Atlas during their time in Guadalajara.

Sorry no stats besides that. Seems like Montreal has a solid team and they're still trying to sign a DP. Del Piero recently turned them down.

So we might have a total of 4 players in Europe, and 5 if you count Dustin. (I don't)....Also, if Turcios impresses in the Whitecaps, he will make a total of 5 Salvadorans in the MLS. Not bad at all.

With all these players going to Europe this that, I wonder how JJ Gomez feels since Aguila disallowed him.

I, like the rest of everybody, love reading all these news, hopefully there's more to come before the winter transfer window closes! Jaime Alas for one deserves to go to Europe.:D

Apparently Flores is almost definetely staying with Viborg according to the following article:
    http://www.elsalvador.com/mwedh/nota/nota_completa.asp?idCat=47863&idArt=6598478
Also, Blanco and Edwin Sanchez may be joining Kongsvinger.
BTW, Wikipedia already lists Blanco as a player for Kongsvinger and Flores for Viborg. Hopefully what is being said in the article comes to fruition before the transfer window closes at the end of today (Tuesday Jan. 31).

I second this notion. He's much better than Ruso and Edwin Sanchez. The guy is quality.

It's exciting to think that two of our strikers could be playing in Europe. That's excellent.

Metapan is the only professional team in El Salvador. Truly sad that other teams don't run their club like them. They're a new club and still in my opinion are the only one showing face for El Salvador.

Add Marvin Iraheta (Chivas USA) to that list. Also, isn't that Lopez kid at Estudiantes reserves? Should he count?

I was posting about Iraheta in the Juniors abroad non FESA thread since he hasn't been capped at any level for us but we could post his stuff here as well I guess. Selecta talent wrote that Iraheta got injured and will be out for 4-5 months.

Jeeeze, what a bummer for the guy. Just got signed and already injured. Regardless, we should speak about him here. He's full Salvadoran and will only play for us and is already at Chivas USA so why not?

I believe Marvin Iraheta is part of FESA and has played for El Salvador but at a U15 level or soemething along those lines.
