It's been 10 years since our WC and JD trots out the time machine...

    Hiddink's winter of discontent

    Sounds familiar

Heard KFA is trying to negotiate a friendly vs Brazil sometime this year. Hope it comes to fruition.

Interesting.. It says he first arrived in Suwon back in 03 but left to a number of foreign clubs untill he joined Daegu FC, and now Jeonbuk (according to Wiki). Isn't it a requirement for a foreigner to have resided in Korea for a minimum of 5 years in order to be naturalized?
    I doubt it'll happen anyways.

    I know I'm a bit late, but...

All of the other points you've made are plausible, but I would have to say that you're being unfair to Eninho with these two. It takes a special talent to avoid being a journeyman in Brazil's first division. To become an established player in the Brazilian league, a player would have to be good enough (or almost good enough) to actually play for the Brazilian national team (or at least the youth team).

I also don't agree with Jeonbuk's system making Eninho look better. Eninho was just as effective while playing for Daegu.

On a side note, I would say Molina is good enough to play for our national team.

Did anyone else watch Lee Dong-guk on Healing Camp? That had to be the best talk show involving a Korean footballer. I want to see more of our players on a show like that during the offseason.

Yes it is definately worth watching. Although, the first half of the show was not so much exciting but when it got to Lee Dong Guk and the WC it definately had me captured.

His tears definately got me the most.

I don't think it's fair how people like to rag on LDG. He's not a great player and often failed when we needed him the most, but I never doubted his desire to represent his country. His bitterness and pettiness were perverted manifestations of that desire.

BTW, the woman looks like Sandara Park.

It might be. But He's the biggest choker ever. Besides PJS and LYP not taking any penalties during the Asian Cup. Btw I can't believe that they don't get more criticism for that. It ruined their legacy a bit.

Back to topic. Him crying at some show doesn't make everything he's done okay. He might be tearing shyt up in the mighty K-league but that doesn't really matter when he always time after time let's us down. After that weak ass LCY shot against Uruguay I lost all respect and tolerance that had left for him.

Still every now and then I remember when he did shine though (when it didn't matter) Watch his goal at 3.00.

Damn I miss Lee Dong-Jin. A quite reliable LB. And oh yeah I almost forgot, fcuk LDG.

Do you honestly think that he didn't want to score or something? Better players have missed far easier opportunities at far greater cost. Should Italy exile Roberto Baggio for life?

LDG just isn't that great of a player. That isn't some character or moral flaw.

And do you honestly think that I believe that he didn't want to score?
Do you honestly believe that it was that particular incident that made me dislike him?

No because unlike LDG Roberto Baggio actually proved on many occasions that he was a great player. He's considered to be a legend for fcuks sake.

I'm not bashing him because of his feelings or personality or something gay like that. I don't really care about any players personality. It's all about how you perform. And THAT is why I hate LDG. and yeah, fcuck LDG (As a player)

Roberto Baggio pretty much single handedly got Italy to the Final at the 1994 WC.

LDG has been one disappointment after another. We were always waiting for him to "redeem" himself but it never came. Could have made amends by actually scoring that 1 v 1 against Uruguay.

you can't really blame donggook for missing on that shot against uruguay. even with open shot, he was far out against the goalkeeper who covered all the angle and most keeper would already keep that out.
