Pastore will miss the match against Switzerland.

Pipita was horrible. I hope he gets it in gear before the eliminatorias start again.

Same old same old by Higuain. He'll miss some big chances (and easy ones at that) and the next game he'll score.

Like Andrés_ said, Pastore is out for the match against Switzerland. But Sabella spoke highly of Lamela and according to what he said and the rumors floating around, Lamela, Campagnaro, Ansaldi, Garay and Matias Rodriguez (of U. de Chile) will get called-up for that match. Sabella also mentioned that the player with the most chances of being called-up at the moment is Garay.

    And SupaMario, welcome back, dude!

I remember when Pipita was just bad vs Lyon a couple years back in the CL, missed an open goal, had a couple other clear shots and Madrid were knocked out of the CL. The same weekend he scored a hat-trick. I have said this over and over again Pipita, the guy can stink it up for one game the following he will come back and play very well. He bangs in goals for us, and can go quiet for a couple games after that. He is still young and hope he can fix that. Bati/Crespo he is not, reminds me more of El Pájaro then those two.

If you look at Pipita's stats for La Liga, he has about 14 goals with zero PK's. While the leading goalscorer for Madrid in La Liga is Ronaldo, he has 23 which 9 come from PK's. Not bad for somebody who sometimes has to sit games because of other players. I always felt if he wanted to grow he had to leave Madrid. Would like to see him in Italy or even England.

That's exactly what I said in my post right before yours. Anyone remembers the World Cup game against Nigeria? Higuain missed either 1 or 2 solid chances and the next match he had a hattrick against South Korea.

Bingo. If rumors are to be believed, Liverpool has wanted him for a while. Still though, I'd love to see Higuain in Italy. I think physically, he could play in England, but I'd rather see him in Italy.

Kind of glad Pastore will miss this, a talent but yet somewhat lost. Still believe he thinks he is better than he really is. Very hot and cold player(similar to Pipita). New faces would be great, I just hope he does call them up. As for Lamela(Great piece by Seba btw) I would like to see him in the near future. Still a bit raw but having him there would be a nice addition(even on the bench, Sabella can see what he is working with).

As for the game vs the Swiss and the players that will get called up. Have a feeling Ricky Alvarez will be there, I heard he is improving as the season is going.. I wonder if Di Maria will be fit enough to play by then. I am glad that there has been a break from fútbol, I was getting a bit tired.

The Swiss are a tough team and will play a good game. Still a couple weeks away though.

    Thanks for the WB, Mundo.

Yeah, not sure what the deal is with Pastore. I like him and still want him on the team, but the kid needs to relax. I'm not talking about the match against Bolivia but whenever I see him, it's like he thinks he's in a highlight reel or a commercial. Even the simple passes he'll try and "fancy them up". Still, he's young though.

It's nice that Lamela is getting some attention. I'm not saying I want him as a starter, but it would be good if we could slowly integrate him into the team and not throw him in randomly like Pastore was/is.

I've watched some recent highlights from Inter matches and Alvarez is doing better. Alot better than the beginning of the season, that's for sure. Di Maria could actually be on his way out of Madrid. It was said he wants more money at Madrid but I think I remember reading that he wouldn't get it or something. So not sure what will happen with him.

Maybe EPL would make him less of a "diver"

I wanna see Higuain and Di Maria get out from Madrid... maybe Mou could buy Nani and makes Madrid even better

Higuain had a poor game against Barca. But I think he is in a no win situation at Madrid anyway. If he misses chances he gets slagged off, if he scores loads of goals he gets dropped. It's been an open secret that Perez has wanted Higuain out of the club, he was'nt one of his signings, but so far Higuain's popularity with the fans has prevented him from being sold. I can't help thinking now is probably the right time for him to move on.

You know, in the other day, he would easily rounded the goal keeper like he always do in that situation... but somehow he choose that option..

The other chance Higuain "missed" was an incredible save by Pinto.

Nice, he keeps making history. Hopefully winning a WC (and a Copa America), will confirm him as one of the top five players ever.
